Blue Sky Cremation Service is owned and operated by licensed funeral and cremation directors Lynn and Jay Nash. We proudly provide cremation services in the Paso Robles, California area including Atascadero and all of San Luis Obispo county. Cremations are generally much less expensive than traditional funerals and burials.

No ornate, expensive casket is required; no grave liner is needed and no headstone is needed. Since the casket is generally the most expensive part of the funeral, you can save a huge amount of money. Not to mention with cremations, a funeral service, which can also be expensive, is optional and not required.

What is cremation? Cremation is simply a form of disposition. The alternative container is placed in a cremation chamber where, through a process of heat and evaporation, the body is reduced to its original elements- bone fragments, not ashes. What do you do with cremated remains? Cremated remains can be interred in a mausoleum or gravesite, kept by the family or scattered.
Thank you for considering Blue Sky Cremation Service for your cremation needs. Compare your experiences at each firm. If you had a good feeling about a firm, it will likely carry over through the entire process. Artificial joints are not removed prior to cremation, but do remain intact after cremation and are removed from the cremated remains.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

When my husband was dying from cancer the hospice nurse needed to know what funeral home we would be using. It took me a few days but decided on blue sky. It was so difficult to make arrangements before my husband had even passed. Chelsea and Tina were so kind and understanding. They took their time with me. The thing I appreciated most was they weren't pushy or trying to get the price up like I've seen other places do. And the price was very reasonable in comparison to other places. The gentleman that came to pick up my husband after he passed was also very kind and treated my husband with care

Highly Recommend... when my husband passed away we called 4 different cremation services and mortuaries and they all wanted us to come in and would not give us any information over the phone or they were ridiculously expensive. Blue Sky was the only one that did not insist on us coming in (the rest just wanted us to pick out the urn there and charge us an arm and a leg) and gave us all the information we needed over the phone. They were professional and compassionate people. I procrastinated on getting an urn and they were very patient and told me to take my time and when I finally picked up the
