At GeoVest, we believe that discipline and patience are the keys to great long term performance in our client portfolios. Our disciplines revolve around the concept of risk versus reward in that for each security we purchase, we want ample compensation for the risk we assume. It requires us to research each security we are looking to buy and create a game plan for the purchase and sale of that security.
At GeoVest, we try to understand the companies we invest in as if we are managing them. We believe that when you think like an owner, you are more aware of opportunities and threats than if you rely on such passive variables as valuation and Wall Street recommendations.
We look for management that has proven operational skills, the strategic vision to leverage these skills, and the incentives to make difficult decisions that are in the best interests of shareholders.We also look for assets and potential assets that are not widely recognized by the stock market.

Our fixed income style is best labeled as interest rate anticipation based on expected future changes to the U.S. Treasury yield curve. Within each maturity sector, we use quality spread analysis to determine whether a specific security is rich or cheap relative to a comparable maturity, U.S. Treasury security.
At GeoVest, we offer two types of balanced account management to meet your investment needs. Both types draw heavily on our economic and cycle analysis, and include our choices for equities and bonds. The standard type of balanced account is where we assign a maximum equity position for our clients based on their individual circumstances.
In addition to the services we provide for Retail & Corporate Accounts, we provide enhanced services to meet the needs of the Insurance Industry. Day-to-day management of the investment portfolio with specific recommendations for purchase and sale of securities within specified guidelines. Meet with the Board and/or Investment Committee as reasonably requested to review portfolio performance, set strategies and the like.
