Raul Rubalcava is a very skilled tattoo artist who joined Studio 13 Tattooing & Piercing in 2003. He can work in all different styles of tattoos, such as old school, new school, Japanese style, and even cover-ups. Raul is a native of Salinas, which means he knows the area well. He graduated from North Monterey County High School and he says he also graduated from the School of Hard Knocks.

My 10 year old got her first basic ear piercing and it went great! The staff is very experienced and super quick. The piercing room was very clean and sanitary. I felt good about my kid's piercing and confident that it was done well. And the price was very reasonable! Even with the ear rings I bought from them. All their ear rings were surgical steel.
It is a small place, and they were taking walk ins again. So if you want to go, I suggest making an appointment well in advance if you don't have to wait long. The waiting area is pretty small.

Raul was great. He was very patient while I figured out what I wanted to get and took time to explain it all to my friend who was getting her first tattoo. He was super cool and made the whole process easy, fun, and not even painful. We've even decided he's going to be our tattoo guy from now on.

Friendly & inviting experience. Lisa is definitely great at piercing, very friendly & helpful. Professional & takes good care of her clients. I've also been tattooed here in the shop & would definitely recommend & will definitely be going back for more work down the line. Very sterile & clean environment and friendly staff. Highly recommended
