Just by chance pulled in their lot and am I glad I did! I have bought 14 motorcycles, campers, trucks, boat and a house and have never ever had such OUTSTANDING customer service as I have had with Great Lakes. Shane & Koby are just flat the best! Mike and the rest of the crew in service have always greeted us with the utmost respect no matter what it was!

If I could rate this place negative stars, I would. Called a week ahead get our boat in from 4 hours away. When my husband & I got there to drop it off, apparently no one wrote down that we were coming. Was quoted a price for parts/labor & told about 2 weeks to get the parts in & repairs done. Our boat ended up being there for a month a half. They would not return calls, could never talk to a tech when we called. And then the final bill came...which was 2k OVER what we were quoted!!! Was given the excuse that the person who quoted us didn't know what they were talking about. How unprofessional

I have been belittled by the owner multiple times. Today I went in and was possibly given a bad prop. I was trying to learn the situation and was nervous about going in from past run-ins. The owner berated me as expected. I finally stood up for myself. It wasn't that I was hostile; the owner was about to freak. The techs are great people. Their boss is narcissistic and knows nothing about customer service, just dollar signs. I was forced out of the building. I was calm but upset. A tech walked me out with a heart. I believe for my safety from the owner. They also overpriced their engines by a few

We were out fishing walleye opener and ended up having a bit of boat trouble. They hooked us up with a replacement part and we attempted to change the part out in the parking lot. The owner of Great Lakes Marine saw us struggling to get this part changed out and came out and helped us. He was extremely nice and fun to talk with. Good personal experiences go a long way. We would highly recommend this business.

They left the awning in a position to scrape a bridge as we went under. They didn't tell us about the low bridges or awning and we never touched it. It was in low position but not enough. They replaced the entire frame which wasn't damaged, just the canvas. It cost $2000 but they gave us "deal" for $1000. The four hour rental ended up costing $1400 which doubled the cost of our vacation. They have a office at The Okaboji Inn and have young kids drop off the boats with minimal instruction. I would buy. a used boat for $2000 and sell it later before renting from them again. They charge my insurance

Called with a question regarding my Yamaha main motor that would have been covered by warranty & they are Yamaha certified dealership. Figured no big deal, but owner chose to berate me for not buying the boat there. Needless to say he will never have to worry about me or anybody else I know ever being a future customer. And oh by the way, when I called them for a price quote on the boat I eventually bought, they were close to $10k over the competition just 3 hours away! Avoid this business at all costs, pun intended!
