InStride Foot & Ankle Specialists are available to treat foot and ankle ailments such as diabetic foot care, ingrown toenails, fungal toenails, warts and painful calluses. Our practice can evaluate and treat maladies of all types from the mid-calf down to the toes. Please call one of our offices for an appointment.

For each location there is a primary physician. In 2008 Dr. James R. Shipley founded Mt. Airy Foot & Ankle Center and has since joined with the InStride Foot & Ankle Specialists group, built a new Mt.
I am often asked how I chose podiatry as a specialty of medicine. As a young person I had foot problems of my own which were successfully treated by a podiatrist. The care provided by the specialist inspired me to choose this specialty and the foot problems I experienced allow me to understand the concerns of patients.

I had an appointment to get my big toes clipped for ingrown toenails on 7/2/21. Mashiah done a great job. I think she said that she had been on the job for about 3 days or a week. I was very pleased with the outcome of her clipping my ingrowns and she didn’t hurt me .I really appreciate the great job she done. Thank you again Mashiah and I will be back to see you. I have always been satisfied at the Clemmons office with everyone . The best office I can ask for and trust with my feet considering I’m Prediabetic.

If I could give 10 stars I would. The quickest and most efficient doctor's office I have ever been to in my life. I hadn't been in there for 5 mins and they immediately called me to the back then shortly after Dr. Walter came in and greeted me along with his assistant Megan :) Very clean and organized office as well.....Highly recommend people who need podiatry service

I had issues with PF during the start of 2020 and I could barely walk most days. It took about 6 months and quite an investment, but it ended up being well worth the efforts and cost. I just finished up completing 18 miles of hiking over 4 days + golfing twice and I can tell you that I have absolutely 0 pain. Could not be happier with the pain mgmt and custom orthotics!

I have been a patient of InStride for about 3-4 years. I recently went to the Clemmons office to see one of the Dr.s ( I’d never seen before). Wallis took me back and she was so nice and friendly. She made me feel welcomed, and her smile was a nice addition to my day. And the Dr was awesome! He was down to earth and very informative! Five stars ⭐️ hands down!!

Ok. I’m not sure what the great reviews are about. The doctor I had had zero sense of humor and zero personality. This was confirmed taking to a staff member after he left. Also, they swindled me out of $100. I had met my whole out of pocket maximum and they told me they needed a hundred bucks down and they would return it when insurance paid. Alarms went off in my head but I gave it to them anyway. Needless to say they were and are liars and kept my money. Also the shoe inserts this quack made for me felt like walking on a cinder block with spikes attached. If you go here after reading this

I love Instride Foot & Ankle. The staff are so friendly and I feel like family. They really care about my progress and so attentive to my situation. I would recommend them to anyone that needs their services. I wish I had found them before my 3 other foot surgeries. I’m sure I would be straight by now.
