In 1999 Khristopher Marks started his career in the basement water proofing industry as a laborer for a major franchised company. After just one year, he had become one of the best production foremen which led to design specialist and sales. Khris has supervised and installed hundreds of waterproofing projects making sure that the end results was always a dry basement and happy clients.
The first step to draining and protecting your basement is to figure out where the water is coming in. We can then create a tailored solution to keep your basement dry. In order to create a drainage system, we jackhammer along the perimeter of the basement to create a trench and relieve the hydrostatic pressure.
If you're a resident of New England, you know how crazy the weather can be, with 2 feet of snow lasting well into April. When those spring showers (we prefer to call them torrential downpours) start up, we experience flash floods. Most of our customers end up with 4-5 feet of water in their basement.
Your basement walls are concrete, a porous material that sweats causing condensation to build up on your walls. In order to help control moisture in your basement, we install a thick non-organic vapor barrier on your foundation walls to protect your finished walls from dampness. Vapor barriers are made from thick, durable, heavy-duty plastic liners.
Having exposed dirt and soil under your home allows for dampness to form, which can cause wood rot, mold, odors, and sagging floors, damaging your home's structure. Because crawlspaces are exposed earth you can also loose heat through the soil, making your floors cold in the winter and costing you more money heating your home.

Before settling on Reliable Basement Waterproofing we has inspections done by two other "leading" companies.
The first one gave us an estimate, then the next day emailed that they needed to increase the estimate by several thousand dollars.
Buh-bye.
The second one was pushy with the upselling of every major component they offered.
Me: "No, we don't want that."
Them: "Well we'll put it in the estimate now and you can take it off later."
Buh-bye.
Finally we called Khris. And he listened to us. Told us his recommendations. Listened to our choices and didn't argue. His team was first rate and

We called several local companies for estimates after a recent flooding issue in our basement. We have an existing french drain and sump pump system and wanted someone to take a look, help us out with a backup battery system, and let us know if there were any significant issues they could see right away.

We just had a sump pump and trench drain installed in our garage about a week ago! Due to the slope of the driveway water was getting into our basement through the garage. Everything is working great and we got to see everything working in action during a storm that happened only a couple days later, the drain and sump pump worked like a charm, the rain this past week was so bad but the basement stayed dry. Reliable Basement Waterproofing was fantastic. Khris was responsive and gave us a reasonably priced quote for a sump pump. He was able to complete our project in between other projects as we were hoping to have it done quickly. His crew was very professional and answered all of my questions. The sump pump is working properly and resolved our issue of our radon mitigation system not working properly due to water in the pipe. We would definitely recommend Reliable Basement Waterproofing!

The pipe hid behind the wall is very nice touch and very much appreciated since I have a finished basement. After the wall had been put up and the carpet down. You would never had known that there was a sump-pump in the basement. Very impressed with the service.

Honestly putting in a drainage system was a big project and I was very cautious on who to have install my system. I found reliable waterproofing online and talked to at least five different companies about what I wanted. Khris was by far the most knowledgeable person I talked to about drainage systems. This review is long overdue. Khris and his team performed a full perimeter waterproofing install on our property at the beginning of this year. They were courteous and professional before, during and after the install. Though, I hope I never need their services on a future property, I wouldn’t consider using another company for waterproofing. Through all the rain we’ve had this year, everything is now staying dry thanks to these guys. Stop your search now and hire Khris and his team you won’t regret it.

After years of deaiing wih foundation cracks, due a high water table (increased hydrostatic pressure), and failed sump pumps (normal), we received many estimates for installing a french drain. Khris is the owner and he pesonally came out to our home, explained everything to us and he's very experienced. Having an owner be part of job this big is imp to us.
