Great service installer Rafael, But Mike Moran was the worst business owner I have ever experienced. Built awning to a different dimension than quote. No notification of any change, we offered to pay balance due and use wrong awning over different door and build a new one to the agreed upon size. He refused said would throw in trash , this is after we waited two months.
Terrible experience and just plain rude to deal with. Really no Stars should be the posting.

If I could give zero stars I truly would. I was referred to this business by another business owner who was unable to provide what I was looking for but thought these guys would fit the bill. I called and talked to Ron, the owner, and he was probably the rudest business owner I have ever come across. He did not even let me explain what I wanted a quote for before cutting me off rudely, saying they were very busy, had at least 8 weeks of work, and (essentially) would have to "get in line". Im unsure if the amount of business he has is getting to his head but that is a terrible way to

Unfortunately Moran's seem to be a victim of their own success meaning they are good and are very, very busy and their service has suffered greatly. We ordered a simple outdoor curtain mid-May after Vanessa came out and measured and gave us a quote a week later. The quote said delivery 4-5 weeks. At week 5 I called and when I talked to Vanessa she said it had to be field measured and that she had told my husband that when she was out (6 weeks earlier). I am writing this review based on the sunshade purchased from Moran Canvas that were installed on our pergola that we recently built. Everyone we dealt with was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Audrey came out to do our first initial measurements and go over patterns, etc. with my wife. Mike Moran, the owner, came out next to get the final measurements. Yesterday we had two very nice & knowledgeable young men out to install our beautiful new sunshades. My wife had several questions and they were patient & polite & did everything she asked about. It was an absolute pleasure working with Mike and the team at Moran! We were slow in getting out to see all the fabric choices and brought some paint samples to help. It was a fun process and they were timely with finishing and flexible on the date of installation. The crew was friendly, professional and extra careful around our plants. The new awnings look great!

We searched for months for a company that would be willing to do a fairly small job. If you look at Moran's reference list, you'll see a lot of large companies they have serviced (Starbucks, Point Loma Seafoods, Sprouts, etc.). That in itself speaks volumes. Moran has been around for years! We wanted a canvas structure that would give us privacy to lounge freely and enjoy our beautiful patio. My initial meeting with the gal there went well. Mike Moran and his team recently designed, built and installed a fantastic horizontal blind over our patio in north county San Diego. It was exactly the design and look we were hoping for.
Mike came to our house on a Saturday morning arriving exactly on time and only took 25 minutes to view the area, create the design and provide a quote. If only all contractors were so efficient. We were warned it would take a few weeks to be built but when it was ready they scheduled a time that worked for us and turned up on time and did a great job. I really can't fault them at all and wouldn't

I had them fix a hem in a awning they made for a previous owner. At the same time I had a new logo installed on it. Both turned out great. Pretty impressive how long the canvas has lasted. Must be a very good grade of material.
From what I can tell they are a family run business and have pride in their work. Couldn't ask for more than that.
