Victorian Loft Bed & Breakfast
Looking to get away to someplace quiet and relaxing? To a charming bed and breakfast in an historic downtown, or perhaps a secluded post-and-beam cabin in one of Pennsylvania's most beautiful state forests? Maybe you are coming to Clearfield County on business, or wanting to stay "off the-beaten-path" while you experience life in our small town, explore the countryside and try to spy some of our famous elk.

Whatever your reason for visiting, PA Wilds Vacation Rentals can help. We offer short and long-term lodging in three distinct locations - a riverfront Victorian bed and breakfast, a mountain cabin, and a private downtown apartment suite. You'll find rates, descriptions and booking information on all three accommodations on this site, as well as ideas about things to do and see while visiting.
Services
If warm hospitality, a friendly atmosphere, a bit of pampering and engaging conversations with your hosts and fellow travelers are your cup of tea, try our bed and breakfast. The Victorian Loft Bed and Breakfast is an elegant 1894 Victorian home overlooking the West Branch of the scenic Susquehanna River in historic Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
If you are looking for a place to escape and get back to nature with family and friends, we offer our three-bedroom mountain cabin. The unpaved lane from the main road deadends just past the cabin in the Moshannon State Forest providing access to nearly 200,000 acres of wooded mountain wilderness. Situated on eight private acres, deer, turkey, fox and an occasional bear have been known to make their way past the Lodge.
This one-bedroom, second-floor suite in downtown Clearfield was designed for travelers and business guests who desire private in-town lodging with a full kitchen. It is especially nice for families and for extended stays. The suite also accommodates overflow from our Victorian Loft Bed & Breakfast quite often - Penn State football and graduation weekends, Clearfield County Fair Week and Groundhog Day visitors who must see Punxsutawney Phil.
Clearfield County serves as a gateway to the Pennsylvania Wilds, a rural 12-county region with as much public land as Yellowstone National Park and virtually unlimited outdoor recreation opportunities - beautiful rivers, forests, robust wildlife, rich oil and lumber history and authentic small towns.
Elk Herd - The Pennsylvania Wilds is home to the largest elk herd in the Northeastern United States. Visit Winslow Hill, the favorite elk viewing spot near Benezette. For more information go to: www. Stop at the numeous cottage industries along the way.

Bilger's Rocks - Whether you are a geology buff looking to inspect some ancient rocks or in the mood for a nature walk and picnic, Bilger's Rocks is a great place to look around and marvel at the enormous rocks, curious caves and beautiful foot paths created by mother nature millennia ago.The Pennsylvania Wilds boasts 29 state parks and eight state forests.

Ruthie took such good care of us (while Peggy was away). The home is beautiful, clean, and very special. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was a real standout! We stayed one night while on a road trip, and this bed & breakfast made us feel like we were in a true vacation still (so much better than some highway rest stop!) Thank you so much & looking forward to visiting again soon. 💕

We stayed in the family suite here. I would highly recommend both this B&B and the small town it is in for an interesting and fun weekend.
The area has plenty of hiking and other outdoor recreation such as elk watching and fall leaf watching. There is also a quirky little museum and a very cute shopping district.
The hostess was exemplary and the breakfasts were large and delicious. The home is beautiful with an amazing first floor kitted out with attention to detail.
If you are looking for an interesting weekend, this is a great place to stay.

Peggy was an amazing host and the house was beautiful. My family and I were driving through on our way home for the holidays and, needless to say, we'll absolutely be returning on future trips.
The third floor suite was perfect for our family of 4 with a private bathroom, kitchenette, a common space with a TV, and 2 separated bedrooms - perfect for our 2 y/o who needs a room to himself to sleep. AND she's got a great collection of toys for the kids.
Last but not least, Peggy also made us a delicious breakfast - banana pecan pancakes that made my son's face light up :-)

Loved our stay! I was driving to NY NY to pick up a rescue Spanish greyhound. They were very accommodating in letting my rescue stay the night on my way back home. Gorgeous home, plenty or room, candy bowls as far as the eye could see! The complimentary soda, coffee, and snacks was great!

The house and owners were lovely. If you are interested in admiring old school wood work, you won't be disappointed. The owners were very sensitive to my food allergies. This was a great weekend getaway.

My Sister and I stayed at the Victorian Loft this past Friday evening and we had an Amazing time! Not only was Peggy so graciously accommodating in regards to our arrival time, she welcomed us so warmly into her home, that it was as if we were "old friends". Lydia ' s room was absolutely gorgeous and extremely comfortable and the rest of the estate was so beautifully decorated. In the morning, Peggy provided the most delicious home cooked breakfast. We could tell it was prepared with love. The conversation was also wonderful and her company sublime. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay a bit
