We planted our vineyards during the springs of 2003 and 2004. Today, we manage over 1,200 wine grapevines and 700 trellised blackberry and red raspberry bushes. Our grape varietals include Golden Muscat (American variety); Chambourcin, Seyval Blanc, Vignoles and Marquette (Hybrid varieties). Home to an ancient sea, our vineyard locations harbor well drained soils with dark shale, quartz like rock, fossils of shellfish and limestone.

In the fall of 2002, two Brothers purchased 300+ acres in a Cumberland County, Kentucky valley known as Possum Hollow. The farm had been used for growing tobacco since the start of prohibition during 1920. Stories echo that every acre in the hollows, level enough to work became planted in tobacco. Friends and relatives of the farm still remember two red mules named Luke and Red cultivating the fields.

Was a little apprehensive driving back to this winery because we saw no sign on main road and it was in the middle of no where. So glad we continued to winery.....facility is a small ranch house. The wines were all good or fantastic! We purchased 18 bottles! Was especially surprised by the Jalapeño wine!!

A definite diamond in the ruff. Well worth the trip. It may not be in an ambiance filled room but in a house with a genuinely knowledgeable man who knew his wine and the making of wines. Gary has a heart for wine and it tastes in the product he produces! If you like Oak aged this may not be for you . But the wine production and clean crisp wines are great! Give this a stop , it's well worth it! The heart of Kentucky married with wine!

Thankful to find this place on Yelp! Don't be afraid to venture off of HWY 90 to the end of the road and sample some excellent wines from local vines. Whether you are a dry or sweet fan, Gary and Lisa will help direct you towards a favorite you will enjoy. My wife and I found the "Blue Blue Blue" to be some of the best Blueberry Wine we have tried. Not to sweet, just right.

This little winery is incredible. It's very small, so the staff really take their time showcasing their wine--they are so passionate and knowledgeable, and the wine is DELICIOUS and VERY modestly priced. A tasting is a must-do for any wine lover in the Burkesville area! Shop local and support this incredible local business!!

Up the Creek Winery is located in Burkesville, KY. Burkesville is known as "The Best Kept Secret in Kentucky." Up the Creek Winery should be no secret since they produce some fabulous wines! My favorite is the Kentucky Blackberry Wine. Most of the time Blackberry wine is too sweet for me, but this one is smooth to the palette and tastes more like a yummy red blend. I recently tried the Gold Rush wine, it is a white that is light and refreshing. I'm excited to try some more of their wonderful wines! If you happen to be driving to Burkesville or through Burkesville, I highly recommend
