Alterations & Custom Sewing LLC was founded by Cindy Weir in 1981 in the old downtown historic district of Excelsior Springs. In 2021 Steve and Elaina Lamley purchased the business. Cindy currently is a business consultant and head seamstress. Since opening the business it has grown steadily for over thirty-five years and has moved progressively to larger and more modern accommodations.
