I am a mother of two grown daughters and have had a lifelong dream of being an Event Planner. I have been involved in various non-profit organizations within my community and have always enjoyed being the "planner" for events within these organizations. In 2017, I started to put into motion that lifelong dream and started courses through Ashworth College.
I worked for one year as an Event Planner for a local Brewery and loved it! I decided it was time to branch out on my own. I was apart of Rachel & Ryan's wedding and Susan was the coordinator. As a bridesmaid I was able to see all of the extra steps Susan took to make sure the day was everything Rachel had dreamed of without involving her too much to the point where she would be stressed. She made sure Rachel was happy the entire night and took care of everything, from the small details to fixing the wedding cake that the caterers messed up. I will definitely be hiring her as my coordinator for my future wedding!

Susan saved my sanity during my daughter's wedding! Seriously, I hired her as a day of coordinator and provided her an itinerary and she took care of everything else. We had a catering issue and she was on the phone and had it solved and the night went off without a hitch. There were quite a lot of moving pieces to this barn wedding. Well worth the money and I would use her again.

It was a blessing to have Sue as our wedding coordinator. Before the wedding, she went over every detail of our day, no matter how small and asked us all the right questions to help us create a seamless timeline. On the day of the wedding, Sue was always there when we needed her, going above and beyond any request that we had. Not only did she make sure that every vendor showed up on time with everything we needed, but she took care of every small detail, from making sure all the décor was in the right place to sewing a button back on a groomsman’ suit that fell off. Sue kept everything running

I came across A Step Above Susan’s Facebook page a few months prior to my wedding. Looking back, I realize just how blessed I was to have found Susan and her company. From the first time I met Sue, there was no doubt in my mind that she would exceed my expectations of her. While meeting with Sue and going through my day-of timeline, she asked questions that I overlooked throughout the planning process. Sue was an absolute lifesaver during my wedding! She was so responsive with every question we had and so kindly left unnecessary hiccups from me because she knew it would stress me out more and she more than had it all handled!! She took part in every aspect of my day from coordinating a late caterer, helping to set up the venue and ensuring me and my father walked down the aisle at the perfect time!
