Services
Modoc Medical Center (MMC) has delivered the healthcare needs of our community since 1951. MMC is currently an 8-bed, critical access hospital providing emergency services, family practice medicine, retail pharmacy, and operating a 50-bed skilled nursing facility in addition to other ancillary services such as radiology, laboratory, physical therapy, and day surgery services.
Our professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable staff is always ready to help and also offer Medication Counseling services. With over 20 years of combined retail pharmacy experience, our independent Pharmacy is available for all your medication needs. Our Pharmacy currently has an extensive over-the-counter section with competitive pricing, as well as hard-to-find items.
Modoc Medical Center is thankful to have a staff of physicians that are both skilled and knowledgeable in the medical field. Please see the following list of providers for any of your healthcare needs. Dr. Fay is a visiting Ophthalmologist who joins us once a quarter to perform minor eye surgeries, including cataract surgery.
Our volunteers have donated numerous hours of their time to give a personal touch to the medical quality at MMC. Our volunteers make an impact on the community one person at a time. There are many opportunities available for volunteers to make a valuable difference in someone's life. The rewards of volunteering will last a lifetime as you assist those in need in your community!
The Clinic also facilitates referrals to specialty providers, when needed. Other providers that practice in our Clinic include Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, Richard Nielsen; and Doctor of Medicine Dale Syverson (General Surgeon). MMC Family Practice Clinic currently provides emotional and mental health therapy sessions in order to help people find balance.

I wish they gave you an option for no stars. Don't even bother calling the clinic if you are not an existing customer. I guess they prefer to get their new customers via the emergency room. Call Lakeview, OR

I want to thank the staff of Modoc Medical for everything they did for me while i was in their facility. The staff were so friendly and caring and went out of their way to be helpful. The only issue i had is the kitchen staff needs to study up on acid reflux disease and gerd. They are real and not like just getting heartburn and taking tums and it goes away. They need to learn how to feed patients that have it.

Horrible hospital!!! My mother in law has Covid and is in the hospital as I write this we live to far away to come help her they are barley feeding her and ignoring her pill schedule!! We have had this issue previously with this hospital they treat your loved ones like trash I would never recommend your service’s to anyone!! She is in the hospital with ammonia because of Covid and they gave her a small bowl of rice crispys to eat and a sausage patty that she can’t eat due to stomach issues! The only positive this she has to say is about the night nurse being absolutely awesome but it doesn’t

I got a huge spider bite on my calf, which I didn’t find out till about a month later. I went to the clinic the third day I had it. Instead of antibiotics and blood work like I asked, Ruth just cut it open without even knowing what it is. Her exact words when I asked what she thought it was were “I guess we’ll never know”. When she knows my mom has lupus. All she did was make the bite way worse. Save yourself and GO OUT OF TOWN.
