Piedmont Metal Processing was founded in 1996 by Frank Ferguson. After working for 40 years for Habersham Metal, Frank founded PMP with the original intent of being a part time business for extra money. However, Piedmont Metal quickly became a full time endeavor. Frank's son, Jeff Ferguson, incorporated the business in 1999 and added a lot of additional technologies and capabilities.
Polyurea coating is a very durable, tough material that we can work with as an alternative to paint when coating detention equipment. It is very abrasive resistant and is great for putting on things that take a lot of abuse. We helped introduce Polyurea to the jail cell and detention industry around 10 or so years ago.
