Our teaching philosophy is centered on instilling a passion for dance while building self-esteem and confidence in every child. From tots to teens, students from all over the Quad Cities participate in classes in our dance studios.

FOR TWO DECADES the Academy for the Performing Arts has been a Quad City area leader in dance education. Our dance studio's reputation for inspiring young people to be the best dancers they can be is one of the primary reasons for our success. When we say "the best dancers they can be, " we speak inclusively of every student, whether at the recreational or intensive level.
Miss Tammy is the founder of the Academy and has spearheaded its growth as one of the area's premier dance education facilities for over two decades. Tammy's involvement in dance spans 48 years. She has performed in 30 pageants, 12 of which were with the Miss Iowa organization. Miss Tammy's dance career has taken her to the far reaches of the globe performing as far away as Denmark and Russia.
Enjoy a stellar birthday party with friends at the Academy. Your child will receive a two hour Dance Party for his or her friends (twelve). Package includes custom choreography suited to both age and ability (one hour of instruction). The remaining hour can be used for games, crafts, cake and gift opening.
