In one sense, Wild Shaman is a Portland, Oregon-based rug shop specializing in rare and antique Anatolian rugs and kilims. But it's so much more than that. Enter the sun-drenched boutique in East Portland, and it's hard to tell if you're in a carpet showroom, an art gallery, a museum - or even an extremely bright, warm and well-appointed residence.
Colors and textures explode throughout the sprawling, white-washed expanse. Broad, fiddle-leaf fig trees and elegant wooden furniture play off the brilliant, richly-dyed woolen Turkish rugs, while pops of neon signage and iridescent accent tables lend the space a harder, contemporary edge. Somehow, everything meshes perfectly.

I am constantly in awe of their selection…no matter if you love bright, happy colors or deep rich jewel tones or soothing neutrals…they will have something perfect for your home. Your biggest challenge will be running out of floor space! I have purchased two beautiful rugs from this lovely store, one in person and one from their online shop. There is so much to appreciate about the owners, who are clearly passionate and knowledgeable about cultural and artistic significance of their kilims and rugs. To visit them in person is to be delighted. If you are concerned about buying a rug online, my experience was flawless. I ordered my rug one morning and had it on my floor by the following afternoon. I m from Turkey and I haven't seen a better Carpet store ever. This place is a museum and it is pretty hard to find what they sell even in Turkey. Owners are Turkish and they have Fantastic passion and knowledge of carpets/ Anatolian history. A huge variety of rugs, kilims from different regions. We got a carpet from Wild shaman in memorial day which really fit in our living room . We ll definitely be back to get some more.
