Spontaneous decision for my dad to rent us an electric boat and your Morro Bay. It was beautiful! We had a great time, the older man who went over safety rules and instructions was super sweet. Provided us with a Bluetooth speaker and life jackets for the kids.
I won't take any stars away but I would like to mention when we initially went down to inquire information about the boat rental the younger man said, "you gotta go ask that man I'm on my day off." He's lucky we didn't turn around and walk away due to his snarky attitude. Then has the decency to tell us all

Had a great time with this boat! Called and booked my time slot about a month in advance (cause it was for a birthday) and when we arrived we simply filled out a little paperwork and got a quick run down of where you are allowed to cruise in the bay. We loaded up, brought a cooler with lunch (booked the boat 11am-1pm), and they provided a blue tooth stereo to listen to music if we wanted, cute touch! 2 hours ($180) is plenty of time, especially if you have to pee hahaha lots of seals and otters floating throughout the bay. They do suggest tipping as well, so keep this in mind.

We had the absolute best time on the most beautiful evening cruising the bay. It really was fantastic. But.... Only one thing soured the trip a bit. The reviews on Nick are pretty spot on. He's definitely not the customer service type. He comes off as generally not caring, condescending and snobby. In addition owner doesn't wear a mask and doesn't socially distance. You will be exposed. As we were leaving I read the hand written sign on his door that said Closed, for complaints call Gavin Newsome! Ha! funny but not really someone I want to help me enjoy a beautiful day on

If you have an hour, you'll be able to go up and down the channel/harbor area 1 full sweep with chance to see sea lions, otters, and bird life up close.
Service by owner Nick leaves a lot to be desired.
We tried renting one day w/ him gruffly telling us he was closed and barely taking any notice or time to wait for us to consider making a reservation for following day. We returned only because w/ little ones, promises are promises.
We met in person the following day to line up a boat. It opened later than hours

I first want to say that I love the electric boats! I take all my family on them everytime they are in town. I love the fact when I take them out I can drive myself and it just be my family and I. You're able to bring food and drink (including alcohol) on board and you basically get to see the entire bay in the hour. My family absolutely loves it. I had such a great time this last time that I wanted to leave a review about my experiences with these boats. They are well kept, clean and the trip is always beautiful. We loved our first trip so much, we spent a lovely winter day on the bay again. We brought a lunch with drinks. It was perfect. Loved that you can get so close to the otters and sea lions. The wind was a bit chilly but the owner Nick, provided us with blankets. I thought that was a wonderful touch. We didn't know last time but you can bring your DOG!! Our baby Lola had a blast !! Another perfect day in Morro Bay!

Don't use this company!! The guy manning the booth, Nick, was rude and honestly just lazy. We wanted to rent a duffy boat from him. First of all - he just wasn't manning the booth, in the middle of the day at like 1. Maybe he was at lunch, but he left a note with a phone number to call. We called, he was not friendly on the phone. Said to come back in like 30 minutes. We did. He wouldn't take down the plastic on the boat so that it would be open air because he "didn't have anywhere to put it" even though he was in a practically empty 500 square foot room. There was

We rented a boat this last weekend. The rental was so well explained to us. The man (owner) was as nice as could be. He cared about our safety and enjoying our trip out on the water. He made sure we new the rules and the map. He made sure our granddaughter had a well fitting life vest to wear. The Shepard and Fields family would highly recommend this place for your family outing.

Second time I have rented here, and I love em! Incredibly friendly service, great instructions and safety guidelines followed to the letter, and yet a lot of freedom in how you spend your allotted time out in the cove. Time seems to just slow down on the water! We got real close to the sea lions, otters, and got to meet some great people out on the water. This is now a MUST on our Morro Bay visits! Reservations are highly recommended: they have limited boats, and they do have to recharge as they are electric!

Bay Cruisers provided the best experience for me and my family. Thank you so much for the great time last week. We were able to bring food and beverages on the boat and we listened to our own music through their Bluetooth stereos. The hour is plenty to see the bay, but we opted for the two hour boat rental, which allowed us more time with the Sea Otter's, Sea Lion's and taking in the natural beauty of Morro Bay! Thanks Nick for the great time and for those of you who are trying to decide what to do when you come to Morro Bay, LOOK NO FURTHER!!!

Renting a boat through Bay Cruisers was such a great experience and a new way to look at Morro Bay. They have beautiful electric boats that fit ten people comfortably. You can cruise around in the bay with a bunch of wild life to see. I took my twin girls out and we had a blast! We will definitely be doing this again. Thanks Bay Cruisers!

Took my wife and 2 year old here, good scenery and you get to get up close to the sea lions and otters. The cruise offers beverages for you to buy and drink. The guide is humorous and informative so over all the cruise is great. But any time you have a two year old who is full of energy it can be inconvenient. Luckily, the boat is secure and my two year old was able to walk around with out fear of him falling out the boat. The staff was very friendly.

I love local businesses that I can write a good review about and this is one of those. It's tucked away on a dock in the middle of the town very easy to get too. Great customer service start to finish. We felt valued. We opted for the sunset cruise slot which allowed us time to see OTTERS, sea lions and sea birds AND the amazing sunset. It was fun as well to see Morro Bay from another angle.

What a great ride! Nick provides amazing service and is so nice. He knows Morro Bay so well and provided great recommendations about sites to find otters in the bay and yummy neighboring restaurants that do takeout to eat on the boat! We were able to listen to music and have a sunset dance party with my friends. The next time I went, I took my mom, my mom's friend and my sister. I was the sober captain, but the rest of the ladies had a great time drinking a bottle of wine. The bay was so calm both times that we felt like the electric boat was gliding.
