Plant Diagnosis - In a plastic bag, bring a sample of the plant that contains the problem needing to be resolved. Example: leaves, bark, section of sod, etc. At a minimum, bring a photo showing the problem, but a real sample is best. Plant Suggestions - Come with knowledge of or a basic diagram of the area you want to plant.

Take your whole freshly harvested apples and slice them crossway through the center of the apple. Apple seed "star" should be in the middle of your circle or disk. Remove the seeds or centers of each apple disk using a tiny round cookie cutter or a knife. Your apples now look like skinny flat discs or donuts.

Went to Lowes first, they had no idea what I needed to spray the sap on my apricot tree. They kept looking online for "zap on trees", I looked it up on my pad, the said, " oh that's want you want, sap for your tree. I told them never mind, I'll go to Western Garden. They always help when you people are not smart enough.

I called a couple of days ago to asked if they had any "Black Krim" tomatoes in stock.
A very kind young lady answered the phone, and was willing to hold the last two that they had in stock for me.
Despite the fact that I couldn't make it out there for a little over 24 hours AFTER I promised I would, they were still holding them when I arrived!!!
Above and beyond customer service overall.
I'd like to give special thanks to Jerry, "The Gardening Guru", for taking some time with me and giving me some of his absolute top-notch gardening wisdom!

If you are looking for houseplants don't bother stopping here. They have a tiny selection and half of it's dying. Been by 3 times in the last year and it's the same two dozen, shabby, dried up plants. It's sad because it's the only good size nursery in the WVC area and it's a dud. Guess I will keep driving across town for my houseplants.

I have appreciated this location of Western Garden Center SO MUCH over the last few months!
As a novice gardener, I have been very glad to be able to call and say "I want some things that would look nice in a hanging pot" and have a staff member talk me through multiple options. Thanks to the kind staff, I now have a beautiful hanging pot full of petunias, sweet peas, and sweet potato vines that makes me very happy. (It's the simple things, right?)
Curbside pickup during the pandemic has literally been a lifesaver for me. As they have gotten busier, orders have been lagging

I cannot believe I didn't know there was a Western Gardens location in West Valley! I'm still salty about the closing of their garden center in Sandy, but I've recovered enough to start supporting them again. This one is just like the SLC location, though maybe a bit larger, but offerings seemed very similar. I specifically seek out this business for uncommon fruits, vegetables, and herbs, but they've got all the things: trees, bushes, roses, seeds, fertilizers and other soil amendments, garden supplies and tools. The amount of houseplants leave a lot to be desired, but they

They have a decent selection of basic plants of all types and some supplies, but prices here range from overpriced to laughable. And they don't have many uncommon plants for unique landscaping. When I was starting out in the hobby, I came here with some questions and most workers weren't knowledgeable about their products. And the few people here that could answer questions were very pushy and unfriendly.
They also rarely have sales or clearances, and if they do they're weak.

Great selection of garden plants and supplies. I love all the garden decor! I'm impressed with the organic seed selection, but bummed that there are no organic berries or fruit trees. The staff is helpful and very friendly. Only one star is lost because many items are quite over priced. Quality is good, but the plants aren't made of gold.
