Whether you relax through sailing, social activities, boating, tennis, fitness or just hanging out, BBYC's expansive bay front property offers an environment for each and every member. During the season, members and their guests partake in a wide variety of social functions almost every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.
BBYC hosts numerous regattas throughout the entire year from laser championships to sunfish worlds. In 2010 Brant Beach Yacht Club received the US Sailing 2010 Club Award for excellence in regional, national and international one-design events.

Services
Brant Beach Yacht Club was founded in 1947 and is located across seven bay-front blocks on Long Beach Island, Brant Beach, New Jersey. At Brant Beach Yacht Club we enjoy an active summer and year round calendar of sailing events, programs and social activities. Social events on a packed summer calendar and throughout the year - with something for everyone to enjoy.
BBYC offers a variety of programs for all ages - from age 4 to age 144 there's fun for everyone and lots to learn on the water. Yachting skills are taught at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels in four Optimist classes, two levels of Sunfish, Lasers, and C420's. Each year our team of skilled sailing instructors, under the leadreship of our highly qualified Director of Sailing guide our young sailors both on and off the water.
BBYC offers the Mariner, Lightning, Laser and Sunfish for adult racing and casual sailing. Junior sailors can begin sailing in the Opti at age 7 and can later sail the Laser Radial (single handed), Sunfish (single handed) or Club 420 (double handed). BBYC members have a variety of cruising boats and there are scheduled cruising activities during the year.
Whether you are new to sailing or have experience, the adult Sunfish sailing lessons will give you the opportunity to learn how to sail a sunfish or further develop your sunfish sailing skills.
This is a great way to get on the water each week, gain confidence in your sailing abilities and get comfortable with participating in our "fun" racing events such as "Thirsty Thursday" and Adult Friday Sailing series see other sailng opportunities under "Racing Series" below.In addition to the Saturday Sunfish series, we offer an adult Friday sailing series for those interested in participating in sunfish racing on Friday afternoons.

Membership in the Brant Beach Yacht Club is open, and new members are continually welcomed. Our Club depends largely upon the membership to govern and operate its programs. Volunteerism is the key to keeping expenses down, and at the same time to build relationships with fellow members. Everyone is expected to make a contribution of time by helping with boating activities, social events, and bi-annual work weekends.

So badly wanted to like BBYC.. unfortunately, a bad experience. We signed a contract with them about a year ago to hold up to 200 people for our wedding April 2021. In the Fall, we were told everything would work out just fine and our wedding will go on as planned. It wasn't until March (under 30 days) did we get written notice stating the club would not deliver the venue as planned. No if and or buts, we had to change our guest count completely or change our date (PS no Saturdays were available and they wanted us to change to dated that we were told we not even technically available yet). My husband and I were married here, and it was our favorite decision. Mike was beyond courteous and helpful leading up and during the wedding. He was flexible and more than willing to work with all of our vendors. Even though it rained during my wedding, my guests were still able to admire the beautiful views of the water and island. Our guests did not want to leave once the wedding was over! We are so appreciative that the members of this club allow outside guests to use their facility. They are able to share with others everything BBYC has to offer.
