Founded by Rose and Walter Cox, Cox Market is still owned, managed, and staffed by the Cox family. As Mon City has grown and changed, so has Cox Market. But throughout the years, the Cox commitment to quality and personal service has never wavered, and the philosophy of family serving family is what has kept us in business for over 60 years.

Customers of Cox Market can't get enough of our meat department. At prices below the big-box stores, our meats can be cut to order for each and every customer. And special orders are always welcome. If we don't have what you are looking for, we'll do our best to get it for you. In our meat department, we specialize in Certified Angus Beef, the "cream of the crop" in the beef industry.
The full-service deli at Cox proudly serves DeLallo meats, locally-based Albert's meats, Isaly's Chipped Ham, Land-O-Lakes cheese, and of course, Eddie's Brick Cheese, a must-have in every Pittsburgh area refrigerator. And if you like olives and antipasti salad, we've got a great selection at our DeLallo Olive Bar.

But the produce at Cox Market is seasonal and local whenever possible, which helps keep prices low and quality high. The staff is always very pleasant and willing to help u with ur needs. Steve will always take time to cut special meats that u need . I hope local people will always patronize there business so they will be able to be there for a long time.if u have never shopped there u are really missing out on a great local market.

My mom swears by this place. The deli has a nice variety of homemade salads like chicken salad and egg salad and Cole slaw. Nice selection of homemade buns and the bakery...their chocolate covered strawberries were amazing! The chocolate had a nice sweetness and the strawberries were so ripe, perfection!!!! I have to say it was a nice little treat.
