Services
Stiles Environmental is an environmental and industrial hygiene consulting firm, specializing in asbestos and lead-based paint investigations, industrial hygiene services, indoor air quality, mold and methamphetamine testing. We provide Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, soil and water testing as well as abatement and remediation oversight.
Multiple local, state, and federal laws have been established to protect people and the environment from contamination caused by harmful industrial waste, errant emissions, hazardous materials, and other pollutants. Threats that can pollute the air, soil, and groundwater; affect human health and create liability for property owners or potential purchasers of contaminated property.
Performed lead based paint sampling for six buildings on the medical center complex and performed lead-based paint abatement oversight during the remediation process. Conducted an asbestos survey of roofing materials and window glazing compounds on this 5 acre, heavy industrial property. Performed soil inspections for suspect asbestos-containing debris on 32 plus acres of the Air Force Academy grounds.
A productive and safe workplace requires good occupational health. Serious health problems may occur if workers are exposed to chemicals, noise, vapors, hazardous materials, physical hazards, and biological contaminants. Our Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) has extensive experience evaluating risks, detecting hazards, monitoring exposures, and establishing a corrective plan of action.
Asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous materials have been used in the construction of homes, schools, office buildings, hospitals, and other structures for many years. Asbestos is found in surfacing treatments, pipe insulation, and a wide variety of other building components. Materials containing lead are present in soils, paints, glazes, pipe fixtures, and structural components.
