Spent $5300 when I had my car services there they left my 02 sensor wires hanging on my headers which eventually melted onto them put the motor back in wrong leaving the passenger side long tube header touching the floor of my car an make a horrible vibration had to go spend another $1700 some where else to have their mistakes fixed do not take your car here they also used engine bay cleaner that ate all the black off seals an hoses now left with discolored parts in my engine bay. Will not be coming back here you shouldn't either. Dicks Automotive is what it should be named

Last fall, I went to Ricks Automotive to get my air condition working . I stopped working several weeks before and I realized the hot weather was almost over. Anyway, I left my truck for the day. They called me that night and stated my air compressor was gone and needed to be replaced. I really didn't like that so I decided to get another opinion. I took my vehicle to U.S.
Automotive for a second opinion. They stated that there was nothing wrong with my compressor and all it needed was to be serviced and filled up with
freon. This really makes me wonder about Ricks?

Honestly, it should be five star, but I'm still suffering from sticker shock. No, not their fault, its a very old car w/ too many small things wrong. On the other hand, its a 2001 that we've owned for four years, and now its running as good or better than when we bought it, and we'll get at least another four years out of it. They gave me a ride home, and when repairs took longer than expected, they gave me a loaner car for the weekend, all I had to pay was the gas I used. We recently moved to the area following our retirement (fixed income). We were QUITE concerned to find a good, honest, fair mechanic and feel that we have DEFINITELY found one at Rick's!
This shop is amazing! Our first clue that it must be a good auto repair shop (after due diligence on YELP and GOOGLE), was to see all of the ambulances parked around the shop. If they do the maintenance on ambulances, they must be reputable!
We have been VERY pleased with the professional and efficient way that we have been treated!

My truck broke down in Springfield (I live in Joplin), while at a conference. Looking through Yelp I founds Rick's and I'm glad I did! They arranged for a tow and checked out my truck, found the problem and got me back on the road in no time! Everyone from Springfield at the conference said Rick's was one the best places around.

I had a really bad situation. I had a vehicle in an inspection check before we purchased it. After 2 hours they missed a rear main seal leak, an antenna problem, an air conditioner problem and no indication of what needed to be fixed. We were told they couldn't check the breaks because of wheel locks. Interesting. There were no wheel locks. We were told that they have an expert for the muscle cars and the one we brought in. We did take it to Don't for the air conditioning and Ozark Chevrolet for the rear main seal and antenna. I won't take any of my cars there again. Guess

Had my car taken in for a tune up and state inspection. When I went to pick up my car they replaced my window motor without asking for my approval. They said they would not charge me for it, but they still did. My car was also broken into while it was at Ricks, but they paid for it even though technically they could have chosen not too, given they are not liable for something like this. This was the right thing to do. Still disappointed about the window being charged without my approval.

Wasn't going to do this but I see that they have several other bad reviews, so I figured I would add mine as well. About a year ago we took my husband's truck in to have the oil changed, they ended up messing up the four-wheel-drive so it ended up costing us hundreds of dollars instead of $50 for an oil change. At the same time I had them put four new tires on my car, now here it is one year later they are bald and they don't want to do anything to back up the quality of tire that they sold me. Like I said this was a year ago, and I didn't post a bad review then until today

Submitted a request for an online quote for a routine maintenance procedure on a late Saturday night. The form requests your car's make and model, which I also included again in the body of my message. It took until late Wednesday night to receive a response. I had an issue with my car not wanting to start. I chose Rick's as they offer shuttle service to my workplace. I was charged $150 for diagnostics that did not identify a problem.
I took it to a different place and they found the problem instantly!
