With a marker to prove it, we're proud to be a part of Texas history, but even prouder that our name is known across the globe by industries on land, in air, and sea. Our story starts in 1875 when Solon Totten (1847-1932) traveled to Texas on horseback from Quincy, Illinois in search of better conditions for the family blacksmith business.
