I had a haircut by Michelle. I had very long hair and wanted to go super short and showed her a photo but she got nervous going short so I had to keep insisting on going shorter until I reached the length I desire. However, she did not give me the layers I asked for and once I got home I realized that the back of my head is pretty much all the same length! I also had a coloring consult with her to speak of option regarding getting highlights/lowlights/balayage! She didn’t have any clear information on the time it may take or how much it costs! I've been going here for just about a year. I LOVE IT! Michelle is amazing and I don't know what kind of voodoo they use for hair color, but my color lasts and the gray stays away. Always happy with my cut & color! Pricing is worth every penny & is affordable. Even got the boyfriend raving about his hair cuts with Michelle. Now, he doesn't just buzz it all off! 😆

I was really pleased with my experience at La mirage today. Francesca understood exactly what was frustrating me about my hair and she was able to cut it in a way that looked so much better. I love my new haircut.
The whole experience today was excellent from start to finish. I especially enjoyed the shampoo massage which you don't find as often anymore and was definitely a nice treat.

Francesca did my hair for my wedding in September. She kept us on schedule and created a look that was exactly what I wanted. The trial was totally key--there were things that we tried at the trial that I didn't like, and having a picture to show her to say, I want this a little different or this way instead, was really key. My hair stayed in place the whole day!

The best highlights!! - professional salon, with top notch stylist and colorist. I have had my hair highlighted from Kelly for years and everytime it looks great. I get compliments on the color and have recommended her to many friends, and family - the color is never brassy, orangey or platinum - matches my natural blond every time (whatever is left of my natural blond color as my hair has definitely gotten darker as I have aged!). If for some reason Kelly not happy with the highlights she will do it over - perfectionist!

Let me tell you ...I have been coming to LaMirage for maybe 10 years ... Ang is my hairstylist and I feel like we have been thru so much together. I have had some medical issues which has left my hair in not so great shape in the past. Ang has always know how to handle my hair. I love getting my hair done... perms, color, highlights and sometimes different color...(Auburns, chocolates etc). She will tell me what my hair will handle and what it won't. Sometimes not what I want to hear... but my hair is healthy and I even get stopped on the street by complete strangers to ask me where I get

I chose La Mirage Salon based on a recommendation from a co-worker, when I first moved to the area in 1999. Cyndi is my stylist and I am always very happy with my cut, color and style each time I go. My daughters both see Angie for their cuts and color and are equally as happy. Even my granddaughter had her hair cut there recently by Chrissie. Highly recommend La Mirage - friendly and competent staff and the salon also carries the latest and greatest hair products, as well as jewelry, handbags, etc. to complete your look.

Having just moved to the area, I've been in search of a good salon. I had very high expectations for this place given the other Yelp reviews and their amazing pictures on Instagram but I couldn't help but feel very disappointed after my first visit.
The place itself is kinda small. It gets very crowded and loud. It would be nice if they had a separate room for color application.
The people weren't necessarily unfriendly or rude. But they definitely weren't as friendly as other places I have been to in the area.

Let me start by saying that the salon was very nice and everyone was courteous. With that said I'm sorry I can't send a better review. The quality was not what I expected from this salon. I made a last minute appointment with a stylist I had not seen before and I suppose the better stylists would be busier and booked.
Specifically, the highlights were unevenly spaced and the cut was almost embarrassing. Not fixable because it was too short. Also, the website is not up to date showing the current stylists and their specific expertise.

I've gotten my hair cut here by Deneanne about 5 times. She does a great job. I've travelled from Phila, and New Jersey to get my hair cut and colored by her and compared to Phila (center city/old city) it is not expensive at all. I live in DC now and wish I could get such good cut and color for that price.
