The Saratoga City Ballet Company was founded in 1994, by Patti Pugh Moore, to support the development and presentation of dance for the enjoyment and cultural enrichment of audiences of all ages. Ms. Moore directed the company from 1994 to 2003 and cultivated it from a small group of dedicated dancers into a thriving student company.
The Saratoga City Ballet Company is a not-for-profit organization providing serious dance students with professional instruction in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Modern, with opportunities to participate in quality productions. SCB strives for a high level of artistic achievement and to inspire and promote developing young dancers.
The Saratoga City Ballet Company is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. Board members are elected by majority vote and serve on the board for a period of two years. We are always looking to community members who have a strong interest in the arts and dance to volunteer for our board. Desirable skills for board members include legal experience, fundraising, grant writing, and arts administration.
Placing an ad in our performance playbill is a great way to support the arts while promoting your business. Your ad will run for our 2021 27th Anniversary Nutcracker Production! Advertising in our playbill or sponsoring the company through a corporate sponsorship is not only an excellent way to support your local arts community but it is a great way to promote your business!
Saratoga City Ballet offers ballet classes and additional dance classes (jazz, modern, core workouts) for children, teens and adults ages 3 and up. All ballet placements are made at the discretion of the School Director.
