Smith Power Product's story reaches back to 1952 as C.L. Smith began his career in Wichita Kansas with Diesel Equipment Company, a distributor for G.M. Diesel as a service technician. In 1965 the family acquired controlling interest in the company. Diesel Equipment grew steadily, the foundation being the strength of its parts and service activity, serving principally oil field, transportation, and agriculture, which we still emphasize today.
