The Harmony Fire District provides primary fire protection and rescue services for the Boroughs of Harmony and Zelienople as well as the Townships of Jackson and Lancaster in Butler County Pennsylvania. Additionally, we respond to many neighboring areas for a variety of incidents. Our responses can include structure fires and vehicle accidents as well as lower acuity calls such as alarm investigations, flooding, and storm damage.
The HFD is comprised of a 100% volunteer staff of all ages that come from many different backgrounds, some emergency services related but most are not! Many of our members come in with little to no experience and are provided with training to allow them to succeed in their emergency service career.

Services
Have you ever thought of stepping up and volunteering to serve your community? We offer opportunities such as interior firefighter, emergency vehicle operator, IT specialist, building and grounds maintenance, and more! The annual car raffle has been cancelled for 2020. We had to do this out of an abundance of caution for our members and those who assist in selling tickets.

These are our "firefighters" and are the first line emergency responders that also complete work around the station. They participate in district events, monthly business meetings, weekly drills, trainings, and respond to incidents. The minimum attendance requirements are four business meetings, eight drills, and 2% of calls calculated over one year's time.
The annual car raffle has been cancelled for 2020. We had to do this out of an abundance of caution for our members and those who assist in selling tickets. Please consider donating to our fire department in leu of purchasing tickets this year. Every year we mail out thousands of donation letters to every address in our first due coverage area; Harmony, Jackson, Lancaster, and Zelienople.
