Montclair Park Assisted Living was dreamed, designed, and built by Dr. David Abdehou in 1998 to fulfill his dream of providing a better way for retirees to live their elder years in a warm, compassionate, and secure environment. Over 20 years Montclair Park has grown to serve even more residents, and has added a state-of-the-art memory care building, The Chateaus.
Montclair Park is situated on 10 beautifully landscaped acres, accented with courtyards, a waterfall, a gazebo, and two ponds inhabited by our resident swans and ducks. Pets are welcomed at Montclair Park, with paths around the grounds for residents to enjoy with their furry family members. Our dedication is providing an environment that will motivate our residents to pursue social interactions and an independent lifestyle.

I’m a nurse at this facility. I can say without a doubt this place takes care of their residents. I’ve never come to work and a resident be anything less than the best possible for that time. The CNAs show compassion and know their residents needs and wants. It is definitely somewhere I enjoy working and somewhere I would recommend and want my own family to be.

Keep your loved ones away from this place. My family member was in the memory care area. When we visited, I never saw one employee around to help. They were hiding in other rooms on their cell phones to avoid doing their work. They would talk negatively about the residents as well. Don’t think that you weren’t heard. The rooms were not maintained well. I am a nurse in the medical field, having worked at a long term facility as a CNA in the past that was better kept than this place. If management really cared, I believe they would have already addressed the issues that many of families faced

Would give this place a minus a hundred if I could.
I read the others reviews and they seem so similar to what we have been through. I am so shocked by how people are treated here and how the rooms are so nasty and filthy and smell like urine. Not anyone in sight to help. This place is the pits in disguise.
The people who work here are terrible. I wouldn’t leave my dog with these people much less my grandparent or parents.
I have no idea how they are even in business.

П 🛑 🛑 🛑 Terrible facility. Save yourself the time, trouble and sheer heartache and do not go here. They will try and get you to transfer to “their doctor” who actually owns the facility... and the son who “runs the facility” along with a very very unprofessional SALES woman also know as the manager, who meets with you and will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you in the building. It all seems like a scam and so very unprofessional. Unfortunately these people do not have the best interest of the elderly people they are suppose to care for as their top priority and it’s

Steer clear! Do not be swayed by this facility. It is a beautiful facility, I will give it that but the people that work there are NOT! Our family member was a resident in memory care part (The Chateaus) and the staff was horrendous. They are non- existent - hiding in rooms playing on their phones or other places to avoid taking care of the patients and therefore it is impossible to even find anyone to help you. They will
Speak so ugly about the residents when they think no one is listening. The rooms are not cleaned daily (or even weekly if your lucky) as promised and the female director (name

I am so thankful that we were lucky enough to find The Chateau's at Montclair for my mom after a recent stroke and hospitalization. Her dementia had progressed after the stroke and we were so pleased with the staff and care she received for her short stay at the Chateaus. I felt at ease leaving her there and felt like she was treated with dignity and respect. The CNA's and Nurses as well as administration provided excellent care. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a place for your parent with dementia. My mom lost her battle with dementia and they were so caring and kind in allowing

Montclair has been wonderful for my 94 year old Mother. She has been a resident for almost 5 years. They keep me informed of everything my mom is going through and make me feel confident they are giving her good care. Their kindness to her is so special. They were so upfront and helpful during this covid lockup as well. I am so pleased we chose this caring and special home for my mom. Gloria Turner and all the beautiful people she has found to make my mom feel comfortable and at home at Montclair are gifts to my sister and me. They are so special in their vocation.
