At Abigail House, we take the well-being of our residents very seriously, and want everyone at our facility to feel as comfortable here as they would in their own homes. We've renovated all our rooms to reflect our commitment to comfort and a warm, homelike environment. Every room is equipped with flat-screen TVs.
Prior to a resident's discharge from our facility, our rehabilitative professionals make sure they're ready for the challenges involved with returning home or to an alternate level of care. In addition to outlining personalized exercise plans and guidelines for safely performing daily routines, our therapists will make sure each patient can manage stairs and other obstacles related to returning home.
We make it a priority to keep residents engaged, interested, and active to the fullest extent possible. Short-term and long-term residents alike enjoy a full complement of social and recreational activities designed for different levels of functioning to keep hands nimble, bodies moving, minds active and spirits up.

Abigail House has a few nice staff, but overall, the atmosphere is mostly uncaring. It starts from the top. The men who run the place are cold, detached businessmen who don’t deserve to run a Nursing Home. This lack of compassion and empathy for the elderly/sick/mentally challenged residents filters down to the Nursing staff and most of the Aides.
There are too many Aides who simply don’t care and will do the bare minimum to care for patients. Rarely will the Aides go above and beyond, or even do a little more to help a patient. The Nursing staff appear burned out and only there for a pay

The administration is very inadequate to properly care for patients. The nursing staff appears to care for staff, but are not equipped to care for the patients. My son was admitted there for sub acute care and passed away under their care. The staff's response time is poor and it felt like they saw him as another check. I wouldn't send my enemy there let alone a loved one. Best advice do not allow your loved ones to go to this place because of insurance, which I had been told. Rooms were dirty. I was the only one who was an advocate for my child and I lost him. No stars for this place.

Horrible place to live. All most all the employees our rube and ignorant. I get verbally abused All day everyday, it's so bad I'm scared to hit the call button. The staff is also extremely lazy. I have reported the cna to upper management and the dont do anything. The staff walks all over upper management also. I wouldn't let my dog live here. I would put 0 stars if I could. Do NOT place your loved ones here. I been stuck here over 1 year

I will fill out this information later about the neglect and abuse of my mother. I called the cops and health department. Save your family don't be deceived by this nursing home.
Any good report on these reviews are mostly staff. They need to shut this facility down.
Adding a little now. They wouldn't clean her JP site. They would make her clean, measure and drain her site. They would bully her. They only washed her once the whole time she was there in a rough house way, for over a month nobody ever washed her hair,. They wouldn't clean her after first coming in. She was immobile, broken spine

If I could give this place no stars I would. My mom died two months ago. She was in Abagail House in April. Very abusive place! Don't be fooled!! My mother kept her phone on so we could hear. One lady was yelling at my mom telling her you don't need pain medicine. They were not giving her pain medicine right after surgery..breast operation..stage 4 breast cancer. My mom said please help me ..please help me.. whispering..I'm dying. The lady yelled you better get up out of the bed. You'll be ok. They check the records..no medicine giving. They kept not giving her medicine. Brastly pushed her around

Our family member has been mentally ill her entire life. In and out of hospitals short term at first, but as she got older it got worse. Been in many different homes. Some I felt so bad for her, but there was no other choice with her circumstances. Abigale house, while not perfect has been the best facility she has ever been at. The Staff does an awesome job from what I've seen. In prior visits we always felt welcomed by everyone there. We receive updates and phone calls regularly on her status. I've read the reviews and there always is one or two that ruin it for others. I feel for the staff that

This is where the true indigent population from area is dumped because they really don’t have other options.
I was there for 3 weeks of rehab and I observed: chronic drug use and exchanging, foul odors, negligent staff and scary people. Shame on the hospital for even recommending such a shameful nursing home.

I rate the place okay because my father was a resident there and passed away while there, I believe Abigail House did the best they could do for him while he was there and even though he was difficult as a patient, they(Abigail House) still went beyond the call of duty to treat him the best they could. I still visit Abigail House Monthly with a church that has a Christian church service for the residents monthly. I will say that the location doesn't smell like your in a hospital with sick people.
