APT's dependable Teflon PTFE compression molding presses were custom designed for the particular molding characteristics of PTFE resins. Our presses produce high quality preforms that yield finished parts with consistent mechanical properties throughout the material lot.
Our automatic PTFE compression molding equipment, with operational ranges from 10 to 300 tons of pressure, provides us with the capability to mold parts from 1/8" thick to *20" long (*utilizing a modified PTFE fusing technique).APT's PTFE compression molding tooling is custom designed in-house. Higher volume molding projects leverage cost savings obtained through the use of molded nearnet shapes.

Applied Plastics Technology, Inc. can supply you with made-to-order Teflon PTFE compression molded blank shapes for your own in-house machining. These are made-to-order, and are generally not in stock for immediate shipping. Delivery lead times vary. Compression molded PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) shapes include: blocks, small plates (square or rectangular), *short sections of rod & tube, and solid PTFE balls or ball blanks.
APT's high quality PTFE Balls are well suited for industrial applications that require an inert, chemically resistant ball, with the purity, specific gravity and wide operating temperature range of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) that other plastic ball materials don't provide.

APT's clean molding room is utilized when at PTFE purity level is required for demanding scientific & industrial applications. Our clean procedures along with clean garbed molding technicians keep impurities out of our molded stock. While our everyday PTFE molding standards strive to minimize processing introduced impurities, such as carbon based contaminants, the molding area shown here allow us to offer you a higher level of clean.
