To be competitive, companies must be EHS compliant. The path to EHS compliance can be confusing, overwhelming, and uncertain. SEC is here to simplify the process, so that you can do your job with less hassle and more confidence. Lem Stevens, P.E., has worked as an environmental engineer for over 25 years.

During that time he has served many companies-from small, local manufacturing facilities to large, national companies at the corporate level. He has maintained strong client relationships and has earned a reputation in the Southeast as a leading expert in the field of air pollution control.

A comprehensive emission inventory is the basis for correct and effective permitting. SEC works hard to understand the manufacturing processes at your facility and their emissions in order to create inventories that correctly reflect emissions. We also use information already collected by the facility as inputs to the emission inventory when possible, to minimize recordkeeping burden.
In order to satisfy the regulatory requirements established by the Clean Water Act (CWA), SEC can evaluate your facility for potential sources of stormwater pollution or wastewater effluent streams. Our goal is to ensure that you obtain the necessary permits that are most suitable to your facility.
The first task in managing solid waste is to understand how your waste is generated, what type of waste is generated, where the waste is generated, and its final destination. SEC can evaluate your processes to develop a waste map, which clearly identifies the flow of waste through your facility. This map can serve as a valuable tool for you to meet your waste management goals.
The first task of submitting a Toxic Release Inventory Report to the EPA is to understand the quantities of certain toxic chemicals that are released to the environment and/or managed through recycling, energy recovery and treatment. A "release" of a chemical means that it is emitted to the air, discharged to water, or placed in some type of land disposal.
With more regulations and higher standards in quality, many facilities seek to implement systems that help ensure the desired results. Our team specializes in quality, environmental, and safety management system development and implementation.

Our Lead Auditor for several standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 has over 15 years working directly for an accredited registrar under the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Program. We have experience in a variety of manufacturing environments including automotive and aircraft with additional experience in utilities, waste to energy, medical, and government contracts.
