Many customers don't know what calcium hardness, alkalinity, cyanuric acid, chlorine and pH levels are or the importance of them in regards to a swimming pool.
What Is pH? The pH is a measure of the acidity of the water. The pH scale goes from 0 to 14, where pH 7 is neutral. What is optimum pH? The optimum pH for pool water is 7.4, since this is the same as the pH in human eyes and mucous membranes. A pH of 7.4 also gives good chlorine disinfection. What does Chlorine do for my pool? Chlorine is the chemical most often used to keep swimming pools and spas free of bacteria that can be hazardous to humans. Chlorine kills bacteria though a fairly simple chemical reaction. The chlorine solution you pour into the water breaks down into many different chemicals, including hypochlorous acid (HOCl) and hypochlorite ion (OCl-).

Called Jose the morning I discovered I had a small leak in one of my pipes connected to the pump. Jose and his guys came out later in the day and completed the repair and serviced my pool. He also assisted me in finding the proper filter cartridge. His cost was better than other retailers including Amazon. Well done Jose. I highly recommend this company. Great job and many thanks for being incredibly responsive.
