Scott and his wife, Jodi, began their journey with early childhood in 2001 as a small in-home daycare in Peoria. Their vision has always been to provide the Peoria area with unique, top-notch childcare experiences that challenge the status quo.
After moving and expanding their in-home daycare in 2004, they have been very fortunate to continue fulfilling this vision through the openings of The Wonder Playschool and the acquisition of A+ Children's Academy.They take pride in each of their centers and are grateful for the opportunities to ensure unparalleled care for the children entrusted to their care.

Our mission is to help the children entrusted to our care obtain the social and academic skills needed to reach their full potential, develop character traits to build healthy, lasting relationships, and gain a leadership mindset that empowers them to impact the world for good. Our Peoria infant to three years of age child care center serves the entirety of Peoria County and the surrounding area.

Our son attends the new Wonder Academy just up the road from the Playschool for the Pre K program and we love this place, especially the teachers. We love the app with pictures and updates, whether or not he took a nap, how much of his lunch he ate, what he ate, activities they're working on. At the Academy they have a pick up option too where I can message the school and ask them to have our son ready by a certain time and they do and they'll even bring him out to the car for me. Our son really loves when they do a theme for a week or two weeks like worms or ice cream. They have yoga class once

We absolutely LOVE The Wonder Playschool! I was so apprehensive about sending our daughter to daycare. We started at a different center in the area and it did not put my mind at ease. I toured Wonder and immediately felt like this was where our daughter was supposed to be. The teachers are so loving and caring. They love our daughter just as their… own. She literally jumps out of our arms with smiles to her teacher in the mornings. Wonder does not feel like your typical daycare center, it feels more like home. The teacher/infant ratio is less at Wonder than at other places which is a huge

We love this place! My daughter has been with TWP for one and a half year now and she has thrived! The directors and teachers truly love what they do, and sincerely care about the little ones! What's more, they are working on improving upon what's already great day after day. It's a blessing to have such a trusted place as the second home of my kids.

Our son has been at WPS for about a year now, and we couldn't be happier with the care he receives. After trying 2 other schools between the ages of 5 months and 18 months, we've found our home. We recently… started full time in preparation for me returning to work, and the transition has been great. The app is a great way to get updates about meals, activities, and photos in real time. The teachers are so engaged with the kids and really care about their learning and well-being. Sending our son to WPS is a real investment in his future.

My husband and I are so thankful for the amazing teachers at the Wonder Playschool! We love the app(pictures and real time posts of her day to day activities), the food served, the help transitioning from one thing to the next, the positive social interactions, and the way our baby girl gets excited to be dropped off!
