I had a bad experience in which a simple visit with him turned into leaving a big scar right on my lip line. I've spent a LOT of money to see other specialists to help make the scar not as noticeable. (Many other specialists confirmed there were better routes that could have been used without any scarring too.) Finally, after several years I found a dermatologist who has helped the scar blend in more. But it's a scar I've had to live with for quite some time and it's caused a lot of money/visits to specialists to fix.

My family has been going to Dr. Neils for the last 20 years or so. I have been to a few other dermatologists but he's the one I go back to because he is good at what he does. Don't expect him to be chatty. He gets right to business, and some people take that as a negative. He has always taken the time to explain his treatment.

I had a spot on my side I was concerned about, and within 12 minutes of walking in the office, it was off, and I was on my way out of the door. I run my own business, so time is very precious to me. I really appreciated his curtesy, and how clearly he explained everything. Spot healed quickly with no problems in less than a week.
