December 18, 2021, was my first time attending a concert at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in NJ. I must say, I was very impressed with the BPAC's "Covid Protocols," I felt very safe & didn't mind wearing a mask during the concert. Their Security & Staff were very nice and helpful too.
I was very happy that I chose the BPAC to see my first KennyG concert. Acoustically the theater is amazing! KennyG took a moment to say that the BPAC is a "live" theater and he really liked that.
I'm at a loss for words! KennyG was stellar! I was entertained from start to finish; KennyG is prodigious, his virtuosity

Imagine paying 426$ for tickets just to get denied entry because you don't have a proof of vaccination or a negative covid test, I didn't received any information regarding these requirements to get inside when I purchased my tickets. I went to see Kenny G, but I missed the event, now I'm out of 426$ I tried getting a refund from where I purchased my tickets, explained what happened, but no luck, thank you BergenPAC first and my last visit to this place.

We went to see the Kenny G performance 11/18/21. Let me start by saying the performance was excellent, however as for the venue, eehh! It was our first time at Bergen PAC, probably our last. We unfortunately had balcony seat, so I cannot speak for orchestra seating. I am all of 5'4" and I have never had seating so uncomfortably tight. So much that not being to extend my feet forward at all made me and one of the people with me miserable. A little bit of basic comfort goes along way. My next complaint was the filming/picture taking policy. I don't know if this is typically a product of the the venue

I'm new to the area and love having a performing arts center in the neighborhood. I attended a ballet last week and the experience was disappointing. The ushers were checking for mask compliance, but didn't seem to care about anything else. There was a woman across the aisle from me who was talking the entire time, from beginning to end, videoing constantly, and taking multiple pictures (with the flash) of her shoes. This was disturbing to everyone around her, and although the ushers twice stopped to tell her to put on her mask, they didn't address any of her other behaviors.

Our experience recently was the house let in many unpaid people who caused a disruption for paying people. Never before have we experienced others standing across the whole row including the main aisle. The manager that night said that is customary. We don't believe so. I know they have some great performers but, we can listen to video from home of the real acts. No need to pay only to listen.

I've been to several events at Bergen PAC. The venue is pretty good. However, Bergen PAC is refusing to offer refunds for concerts that have been postponed for more than a year. Other similar venues are offering refund options for postponed shows, but not Bergen PAC. I strongly recommend avoiding Bergen PAC until they change their unacceptable practices. In effect, buying a ticket is a contract. When the contract cannot be met due to any circumstances, it becomes voided which, in this case, means that a refund option must be offered.
STAY AWAY. Be wary. They might tell you that

Saw Sons of Apollo this evening.
I've probably been to 1000 shows over the last 30 years. I go to two or three a month on average.
Never have I left one because the sound was so bad it was making me physically ill until tonight.
At one point I thought my ears were actually bleeding.
I'm not sure who runs the PA at this venue but they should be fired immediately.
Wasted 100 dollars on tickets.

Aside from the Englewood nightmare of parking , I really like seeing events here.
I love older buildings and this has a classic feel to it. I do think the bathrooms need an update and I wish they would not have a woman in there handing out paper towels that I feel pressure to tip every time I pee ! It's so awkward .
They have a small bar that you can also get snacks like candy and popcorn as well as your beverage. They are actually very reasonable price wise. A decent Chardonnay for $7 is very fair.
I love more intimate feel if the place. We saw a comedian and the sound quality was good

The Bergen PAC (formerly the John Harms Center) is a lovely, albeit showing its age, theater for live performances. Located in downtown Englewood, NJ, the theater is easily accessed by car off of major roadways 4 and 80. Parking is tricky, so arrive early, get a spot, and take advantage of the many choices of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the theater.
Bergen PAC has such a great variety of shows, I've seen classical, vintage performers of rock and pop, stand-up comedy, so props for the continually impressive lineup. I prefer to sit in the lower level, as I've never

Great venue for concerts and other types of performances. Been awhile since my last visit, it was Martha Davis and the Motels. And Andrew "Dice" Clay before that. I can't really say if there's a bad seat in the place. Of course the closer to the stage the better. We've always gotten Orchestra seats center not too far from the stage. Prices vary depending on the act. Tonight was Ratt and a NJ band by the name Pierced. Acoustics also vary depending on the type of music and the loudness, but for the better part not too bad. May be returning to see Toto in October.

Small venue which is nice. Even though the event we went to was sold out, they were quick with scanning tickets and security. The wait was not long at all.
When we were getting to our seats the ushers walked you over rather than vaguely point in the direction of your seats. They are pretty strict with phone usage, so just leave it in your purse or pocket for the few hours.
You'll have to find parking around the area, but usually there's a spot not too far away. The summer can get a little busy so plan accordingly.

I applaud BPAC for consistently providing top flight entertainers from the music and comedy world. It's a small and quaint venue where every seat is good and there are no large screens behind the performers. It's located in downtown Englewood where there are lots of options to eat and walk around before and after the show. I've had the pleasure of coming here over the past couple of years and seeing a couple of musical groups, most recently, The Doobie Brothers. There is limited on street parking as well as some parking garages within walking distance of the venue. There is

I'll start with the good. The staff there was great and the headliners of the show were excellent as expected. That's pretty much the end of it. This venue is garbage. I am 6'1" and my knees were so crammed into the seat in front of me that it was painful. I finally had to stand up and go stand along the wall. This is where the staff took the opportunity to shine. They saw me and seated me in another seat that had a walkway in front of it so I was able to enjoy the show without being in actual pain. Unfortunately, I paid to share this experience with my teenage daughter and

What a great venue for a show! My husband & I recently went to see the Alan Parsons Project. It's a small venue & didn't look as though you really could get a bad seat. The sound was great, which isn't always the case. It was quite a ride for us to get there but well worth it for a lifetime show & great sound.

I've been to the Bergen PAC multiple times for event. Most recently with my 4 year old daughter to watch, The Bubble Show. It's easy for me to get to because it's close to my home, but not the most enjoyable venue to visit.
The theater itself is run down. It could really use some fresh paint, and deep cleaning at the very least, and the parking situation surrounding the theater also is not the best.
I'm sure I'll be visiting this theater again in the future, hopefully by then it is freshened up just a little bit.

Recently we saw the Alan Parsons Project at BPAC. It is a fairly small venue but nice enough. I don't know the history of BPAC but if I had to compare it to the State Theater in New Brunswick or the Strand in Lakewood I would say it is lacking in eye appeal.
I must say the acoustics were pretty good at least where we were in the orchestra. The decor was lacking for an old building. The chairs have plastic backs. Ceiling and wall ornaments were modest. I would expect better.
Certainly worth going to, to see a concert though.

Excellent theatre! Excellent actors! Excellent show! Prices are reasonable! Seats were out dated, but nostalgic!! We went to see a Christmas Story, what a great performance!! If I lived in the area, I'd frequent this theater quite a bit!!! Plenty of parking, popcorn 5$, bottled water 3$, alcohol 7-12$, a great way to spend a weekend afternoon or evening!!!

Nice smaller sized venue- perfect for seeing children's shows as it's not too overwhelming. The location is convenient, though parking can be challenging depending upon the time. A ton of restaurants within walking distance make dinner and a show a convenient date night.
I can here to see the hungry caterpillars with my daughter and seats were great for $30 plus fees. We grabbed popcorn for $5 and I woils have grabbed a glass of wine (they have a full bar) but it wasn't that type of event
Local gem of a theatre.

Never get a front row ticket in he balcony if you think you're going to get a great view of the stage. Unless you are a really tall guy there will be a bar in your line of sight. I'm 5'7" and my view was completely blocked. These front mezzanine seats were more expensive. They didn't say partial view. Luckily there were some empty seats a few rows back and I moved so I didn't have this annoying bar in my face the entire time.

This is one of my favorite venues and not just because it's right in Bergen County.
All the seats are at the least good. You get some great artists. I have seen 3 doors down, Candlebox and many more here.
The audience will depend on the performer and there are tons of great restaurants on Palisades.
Tickets are generally reasonable and the acoustics are great.

Love this place. Close to home (North Jersey), lots of eating places around, many good bands.
Getting old and needs some refurbishing. Last concert we had no air conditioning up front.
Senior citizens need to breathe ! :)
They sell snacks, alcoholic drinks and last but not least my favorite...the bathrooms! They do their best to keep them clean but not enough and the lines are super long like everywhere else.
Tickets are pricey too!
