You should always wear goggles when you tan. They protect your eyes from damage that will develop over time along with preventing blurry vision right after you tan. If you don't have some already, you can buy them at our salon. You'll find moisturizing and tan acceleration products as well at our salon.
Tanning takes place in the skin's outer layer, which is called the epidermis. About 5% of the cells in your epidermis are special cells called melanocytes. When exposed to UVB light, melanocytes produce pinkish colored melanin that is absorbed by other skin cells. When exposed to UVA light, the melanin oxidizes or darkens.

The best tanning beds! Seriously don’t waste your time elsewhere. Clean atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. Carefully timed sessions and a nice variety of products. Some lotions are a little pricey but that’s to be expected when it’s the real deal and not watered down knockoffs from the Internet. I am glad I found this place.

I got there an hour before they closed, and the lady was so kind and explained everything since I was a new customer. I was getting a spray tan to see if I liked it, because I am getting married in a month. It was clean, she made sure I understood everything, and it was a fast and easy tan! ONLY COMPLAINT, the spray was cold! Just be prepared lol

If I could give zero stars I would. Went to buy a tanning lotion from them. The young girl who was working there was sitting down playing on her phone as I walked through the doors was very inexperienced about there products. I should have left then but wanted a good tanning lotion. I winded up buying this lotion called Mermaid Majesty and spent 73.00 dollars on it. I then looked on Amazon where it sells for 26.00 dollars. Shame on me for not looking on Amazon first. But please be advised every lotion they sell there because I was very observant of the other lotions names they sell on Amazon MUCH

My dad's Doctor recommended he try getting as much sunlight as safely possible -- and even that he try using tanning beds to help with an issue. I checked this out on the Internet - sure enough - an excellent recommendation. So I checked out Island Sun - they are GREAT! I have talked with two employees there so far -- so wonderful and genuinely knowledgable. I was amazed with the time they took to show me the variety of beds, UVA and UVB - and explained all the options... They also have other clients also there on recommendation of a doctor - (for example a woman who's chemo had caused an issue

I just recently moved to Brunswick from Metter and the lady in there made me feel right at home! She helped me and was so nice to me. The place is state of the art and she had knowledge of what kind of lotion I needed now I can go to the beach w/o any embarrassing tan lines! Thank you for your kindness, I'll definitely will be back!
