Blue Heron provides the pleasure of a natural Ozark setting without leaving the beaten path. Forget about traveling miles of back roads to reach that special camping spot. Our RV park is just off the highway and right on the banks of the White River, a premier trout fishing destination. So many possibilities and we are right in the middle of it all. Blue Heron Campground and the Flippin area has everything you need for a stay in your RV, TENT or one of our CABINS. Year-round FISHING GUIDES for White River trout fishing makes our campground the complete package. You'll want to come back to the Blue Heron again and again.

Services
There is nothing like a day on the river and White River trout fishing is good all year long. At Blue Heron you can schedule a guided fishing trip, rent a canoe or kayak, or take advantage of our easy access to the water's edge by angling from the bank or wading. Because White River waters are constantly fluctuating, it is very important to stay alert to changes in the water.
At Blue Heron Campground, we have several lodging options - from "roughing it" in a tent with the sound of the river flowing by - to spacious RV options - to two types of cozy cabins. Located only steps from the White River, our Riverfront Cabin provides 900 square feet of modern comfort.
This second-floor cabin features a fully equipped kitchen, private bath, queen bed, full bed and queen-sized sleeper sofa, private deck and terrific views of the river! You'll find plenty of dishes, towels and linens as well as the entertainment basics - Satellite TV and WI-FI. If your idea of primitive camping includes a roof, a bed and air conditioning, then we have just what you need.

We had a great time. The grounds were very well-kept. The riverfront cabin offered a perfect weekend getaway for myself, my husband, and two teenage boys. Mike was extremely helpful and always quick to respond to anything. I would definitely recommend Blue Heron if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing, and peaceful getaway right on the river!

Blue Heron was not our fist choice but they were the first to return my phone call. I knew nothing about this place before I rolled up with my family.
The owner Terry is awesome!! Very accommodating to new guests. There are a number of restrictions around pets but I will say, this was the most quiet and the most well kept campground I have ever been to.
This place is a gem and I will make it a point to come back as much as I can!

One of the best RV and camp spots on the White River. Excellent river frontage for wading.. even when the water is high the angle is perfect for bank fishing, but when the water is low its one of the best spots to wade the White. Great people running the place, friendly and customer focused. If I could leave 10 stars out of 5 I would... big browns along that shore line.

Solid place to stay with plenty of campsites and easy access from the highway. We stayed for just one night but the manager was kind enough to allow us a late checkout the following day. The pull throughs had just water and electric which is good enough for us! Only two things worth noting, 1. If you’re a light sleeper being close to the highway bridge may not be the choice for you. It’s not that bad for us since we’re used to city noise m, but I could see how it could be a “thing”. And finally, it appears to be a first come first serve park, the owner had us call him twice and the manager

We stayed for two weeks and loved the spot. We lucked out and got the first full hook up for the riverside, so our view wasn’t obstructed. I don’t know that we would have liked it as much in a different spot or if the park had been full, but as it turned out it was great. Mike was very helpful and kept the area nicely mowed. They have their own boat ramp and we took advantage by taking out kayak out a few times. There is a tree just up river from camp that has a ton of heron nests in it and a lot of buzzards hang out in it too. There was also a few eagle nests nearby and a walking trail a short

Great experience. We had reserved a spot across the river. The people in our spot hadn't vacated it and the campground couldn't find them or get in touch with them. They got and paid for us to have a spot at Blue Heron for a night. Hot to Blue Heron and Mike was awesome! Got us a big sight backed up to the river. He helped us get backed in. He came back later and told us we could keep the spot the whole time we needed. Better site than we would have had at the other place. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that you do get some bridge noise.

We came with plans to stay for 6 days and ended up staying for 14! That should tell you how very much we enjoyed it. Thank you to the owner, Terry, and Michael, our host, for accommodating us. Both so friendly and helpful. This is a wonderfully peaceful campground right on the White River. Trout fishing is great! Thank you Michael for setting up our guided boat fishing with our great guide, Willard. This is a small, quiet, well kept and scenic campground. Even if you don't fish, the scenery and beauty of the river and campground make it a pleasure just to be there. We plan to return next year.
