Love that they carry so many things year round that other centers only carry for a few months. Super knowledgeable and helpful.

Terrible business. We Bought two mature tress for 375 each (ouch), but we were confident in the quality after speaking to the owner. Two weeks later, one of the two trees would not root and was dying. We called the owner, and he said it was "lack of water". We watered both trees the same amount, yet this tree still would not thrive. We went back after two more months of excessive watering, and asked if there was anything he could do. He said, well they're now 25% off but we don't guarantee anything. I WILL NEVER do business here. It's tough to support a local business when they aren't willing to

In the area.. wanted to stop by to see if they had next year's calendar....

The calendars are great because the have very useful gardening tips!

Wasn't really expecting to purchase anything...

Unfortunately, they had 25% off shrubs..
and I found some great ones!

Will be back again for the calendar...

Have been shopping here for years, always support local before big box stores. With that being said, I won’t be spoke to with disrespect and I will not be required to wear a mask. I can go to Lowe’s and/ or Home Depot without being hassled. Local businesses should be more conscious of their customers than the big box stores, after all the box store is less money.

Great folks, extremely knowledgeable staff. They have answers to all of your questions, and all of the products you need. Many different types of plants for sale, lots of tools, and a large yard with water features. It is the go-to place for anything green or that grows!

Be warned! They do not warranty their plants as trees like other places! A lot of the staff needs better training. I asked one of the staff for marigold seeds. She had no idea what I was talking about. I also asked one of their experts if they had crape myrtles instead of just saying no, he argued that they can't grow in our region, despite the fact that I explained that many other places have sold them and I have a friend that has 3 growing in his front yard for the last 4 years! I also spent 20 mins just trying to find someone to assist me when I wanted to purchase plants and trees for my

Customer service lacks - waited TWO weeks for at least a phone call re prepaid appointment with Paul. Left 2 subsequent messages - never a call. Finally reversed charge on CC, then a day later someone from Rail City called and said she would have refunded my money - never an apology, question, anything. Told her i reversed charge. Oh well, Moana called same day I left message and set appointment within a week. Guess I know where to go to get service.

I absolutely love Dawn who is incredibly knowledgeable and pleasant. Having said that, my experience is that she is the only one.

I purchased 2 enormous pots in which I intend to transplant 2 fruit trees on my patio. Both pots cost about $800. They are light weight as they are fiberglass or some such material. I live in Reno, about 6 minutes from Sparks. I was charged $140 to deliver them and I honestly feel that is a slap in the face. If I were to purchase 1.5 yards of river rock weighing a couple of tons, the price is the same.

in any event, I was unable to get them home because I do

Knowledgeable but geez way way more expensive than anyone else in town. They may be local, a good thing, but their prices are off the charts!

We've shopped at Rail City for over 25 years. Paul Hollis knows more about gardening than anyone else in Northern NV. We list to him on KKOH every Saturday. On this mornings broadcast he said they had grown hens for sale and a hybrid grass sale witch if you had a calendar coupon you could get a 20% discount. So we went in and they had no grown hens snd haven't had any calendars for months. We asked if they'd honor the sale price anyway and he said not without a coupon. We'e spend over a thousand dollars a year there for at least 20 years. Screw him. Half his inventory is over

I have shopped Rail City many times over the past couple of years. They have a great selection of veggie garden seeds and plants, and have bulk things like garlic, seed potatoes, onions and the like, during the planting season. They are also the delivery garden center for special on line orders from Monrovia Nurseries. Rail City publishes a lovely annual calendar that includes discount coupons through the year. The main reason I shop there though, is they carry the Full Circle Compost line of amendments and supplements.

I have always liked dealing with the folks working outside. They are friendly

My wife heard there was a nursery across from the Legends mall that was supposed to pretty good, so, we decided to check it out on a Sunday about noon. It is not hard to find although traffic can be pretty busy on Sparks Blvd.

The entrance and street frontage is pretty small but the property goes back very deep and widens out as you go farther in. We parked near the entrance and checked out some of the water features at the entrance. We immediately thought this was really cool.

They have a lot of very cool old and rustic yard art and just about anything you might need for your yard. We noticed
