Study up - It's best to find out about license and insurance requirements for contractors in your state. And before you call a contractor, know the model of your current system and its maintenance history. Also make note of any uncomfortable rooms. This will help potential contractors better understand your heating needs.
Let's say that you plan to use the air conditioner in the summer (4 months a year) and it will be operating about 6 hours a day. Let's also imagine that a kilowatt-hour costs 10 cents in your neighborhood. The difference in energy consumption between the two units is 200 watts, which means that every 5 hours the less expensive unit will consume one more KWH (and therefore one more dime) than the more expensive unit.
Check thermostat settings to ensure the cooling and heating system keeps you comfortable when you are home and saves energy while you are away. Tighten all electrical connections and measure voltage and current on motors. Faulty electrical connections can cause unsafe operation of your system and reduce the life of major components.

My AC developed a Freon leak in August, and my house temperature wouldn’t get below 78 degrees for two days. I googled AC services and chose Patco based on all the great reviews. The reviews were right! The technician was very professional and kind. He fixed my AC right up, and it was quick, affordable, and easy. They are not going to try and up sell you for something you don’t need; they are honest and respectable. I highly recommend Patco!

A couple minutes after calling, I received a call from my technician Johnny. He informed me he was nearby and had just finished another service call, and could be at my house in about 20 to 30 minutes. He arrived promptly, and after explaining the problem he got right to work and had it fixed fast. Johnny was skillful, efficient, prompt, and friendly. This is the second time I've used Patco and if (when) I need HVAC service again they will be who I contact.

Awesome service and price! My AC unit was not cooling. I Googled ac service companies in the Mobile area and read very good reviews on Patco AC Service. I was happy to see that they provide service on Sundays and holidays. Their response time was unbelievable. Jon Pope, HVAC technician, was servicing the ac unit within 1 hour of my call to Patco. He troubleshooter the unit and found the thermostat not energizing one of the circuits. He reset the thermostat and the system was operational again. He recommended the thermostat be replaced as it would eventually go out. Jon Pope was very professional
