Uncompahgre River RV Park
Our park is located centrally to more attractions and opportunities of discovery than you will have the time to enjoy. Many folks check in for a day and stay for a month! All guests will love the Uncompahgre River RV Park experience, whether you are a 'first-timer' or an 'old timer'. Set amongst the cottonwoods flanking the river and corn fields, our park provides the feeling of a remote locale with amenities of urban life.

If you can't find what you need in Olathe, Delta and Montrose are only 10 miles to the north and south and offer a larger variety of stores, shops, and restaurants. Relax below the cottonwood trees along the banks of the Uncompahgre River and enjoy the beauty and wildlife. Experience the vast area of southwest Colorado and Eastern Utah, all within a two-hour drive of our park.
Services
At the Uncompahgre River RV Park, we focus on providing a comfortable and relaxing setting with plenty of space to stretch your legs. Each site provides full hook-ups and concrete pads and patios surrounded by natural grass. We are continually working to expand and improve the park. With over 1/3 mile of river frontage on 29 acres, there is plenty of improved and natural spaces for you to enjoy.
Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park - This is one of the most underrated national parks and designated an International Dark-Sky Preserve. The views of the 2,700-foot deep canyon, carved by the Gunnison River and lined with granite and schist walls, will leave you amazed. Wildlife that populate the canyon include bald eagles, golden eagles, mountain goats, mountain lions, bear and trophy trout.

What a hidden gem! We very much enjoyed our 5 night stay. Restrooms and laundry facility were spotless! Our site was perfect for our 45ft Motorhome. The owner Mark and his staff were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely return!

Ended up not staying due to some miscommunication but the owner was good guy who was understanding about the issues. It's a very pretty tree studed park. If you use satellite and don't have a directional dish be sure to let them know so they can place you in the appropriate site. I believe if we could have worked out the issues it would have been a great place to stay.

Beautiful with trees, grass and a pond. Nice layout of spaces. Great tight knit community that caters to our Veterans and Seniors. Awesome place to a evening walk and get to know your neighbors and their pets. The owner, Mark, really made you feel welcome and gave Great suggestions to explore the area. Highly recommend this place to explore Black Canyon National Park, Cimarron Train and Dam, Montrose and The City of Ridgway to include the State Park and Lake.

This has to be one of the top RV parks I've been to. Plenty of shade trees, quiet, and Mark and staff (hey Woody, I told you I"d mention you) are helpful and go the extra mile to make sure your stay is a memorable one. The bathrooms and laundry are some of the cleanest I've ever seen and, unlike many RV parks, all of the washers and dryers are working and in immaculate condition. If you're an RVer age 50 and over going through the Montrose area and are looking for place to stay, whether it's a day or a month, then this should be it.

Its a very nice park with tall cottonwoods to provide shade. However, there is no off-leash area for dogs and the mosquitoes were terrible making any outside activity impossible.

Excellent park -- quiet, spacious, beautiful, shady and green. We have stayed at parks all over the Mountain West and this is the best we have ever found. We were planning on staying 1 night and ended up staying 5 nights. Checked out others, but returned here and used it as our base to explore the area. Great hosts, off the highway -- so quiet. Nice walks with your dog along the river. The sites are nicely spaced apart and the park abounds with large shade trees.

Let's start with the owners Mark & Michelle. At first, they are nice to you until you say one bad thing or even make suggestions on improving, then you are accused of harassment. We had booked the month of Aug due to the fact it was close to a lot of attractions since the park itself has NOTHING! There were way too many trees, the pond was filthy still from someone else's review in 2017 so think about that. A lot of the cement pads were in dire need of repair, there were no picnic tables anywhere, no dog park or enclosed area for them to run freely, and in mid Aug the park was infested

What a lovely surprise to to find a charming park. The owners, Mark and Michelle are one of the best camp hosts we encountered. The park and all of it's facilities are A-1. We've been RV camping for two months and in 8 states. I can gladly say this park is in our top two. We had the pleasure of joining Mark and Michelle, along with other RVers for Happy hour last night. What a treat. We'd stay longer but we are on our way to visit friends elsewhere. Mark and Michelle, keep up the great work.

We really enjoyed our month long stay at Uncompahgre River RV Park! Mark and Michelle went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They are friendly, hardworking, and very informative. And somehow they still find the time and energy to organize social events several times a week. They also coordinate potlucks throughout the summer. Count yourself fortunate if you attend one of them where Mark offers up his excellent smoked brisket! The park is very quiet and peaceful. Every site we saw looks level. The Uncompahgre River runs right next to the park. There are benches built on the bank

READ CAREFULLY
Any reviews prior to January 2017 should not be taken into consideration (My Opinion)
Property is now owned by Mark and Michelle (stated on Yelp) under the name of Bud Hillier Enterprises-(Montrose County Records)-Read their home page-he purchased the park in 3 days and his wife had never stepped foot on the property/interesting.
It is shocking how this property has changed in such a short time-(In the past it was beautifully maintained and well managed)
A situation with the owner about his alcohol intake lead to having a background check done-(Not Good)
THIS RV PARK IS NOT SAFE

It's beautiful except the little pond that's covered in algae hopefully they read this because all they need to do is float a barley ball in it you can buy them online at pond supply stores the algae will b gone it won't hurt fish or wildlife whereas algae will kill the fish hopefully they have fish or the misquitos would eat you alive there.
