Dr. Stephanie Hutchinson teaches voice and piano, coaches singers and accompanies choirs. She graduated magna cum laude from USC, where she earned her BM, MM and DMA degrees in Piano Performance. She also studied voice with distinguished USC professors. Her specialty is working with adults and teens who are beginning to advanced (voice) and intermediate to advanced (piano).

Dr. Stephanie helped me get into Juilliard! I never had any formal singing training or experience prior to the audition (only karaoke which I do love ). The audition required one to present one contemporary & one classical (Shakespeare for me) monologue with two more in reserve and 16 bars acapella. I was confident about my monologues but I was dreading the 16 bars and that moment when the faculty would ask me what song would I be singing today...

I started lessons with Stephanie back in March and she has been a great
teacher! I've been studying classical voice and have been singing in choirs for almost 20 years and in just a few months Dr. Stephanie has taught me more than what would take me years! We have been working on breath work, tone, range, and sight reading. Dr. Stephanie also encourages performance and she arranges recitals for her students to demonstrate their singing and music. Not only do we perform solos; we also work with her other students to perform duets, trios, etc. She is patient, kind, and flexible. I would definitely

Stephanie is a top notch musician, piano instructor, and human being. Her lesson plans are well structured, fun, and her enthusiasm for teaching is apparent as well. Stephanie tailored each lesson to my exact interests which were classical pieces as well as video game music and film scores. Although Stephanie did not have much experience with music for video games/film music particularly, she adapted to my interests as a student and took my piano skills to new heights. Dr. Stephanie is great! I've been taking singing lessons with her for almost 8 months now, and I feel like I've learned so much. I came in with absolutely zero experience in singing (I couldn't even pitch match, so there was also ear training involved too) and she was very patient with me learning from scratch.
