They have a huge supply of mixed kinds of healthy plants, reasonable prices and a helpful, knowledgeable staff to help you with your particular plant search. Always find healthy plants at good prices! Helpful staff. I live in CA and needed to purchase a birthday present for my Mother who lives in Pell City.

The person on the phone was helpful and was able to process the purchase over the phone with my credit card! Thank you! Excellent service, knowledgeable staffs, healthy wonderful plants. Great resource for our community.

About Us Report

We are an independent locally owned nursery started in 1985 as more or less a hobby. We have nine (9) greenhouses and two covered cold frames covering a large area and 10 acres devoted mostly to trees and shrubs in containers. Our main goal is to give our customers what they want and need with a good attitude and a fair price.

Helpful Hints Report

Winter is the season when your gardening is devoted mostly to your houseplants. Most plants perish from overwatering than from under watering. Wet soil crowds out the oxygen need by the roots and the roots cannot support the leaves without oxygen. Even plants that require a lot of water will die if the soil is soggy wet.

I walked in right as they were opening and they were having some sort of employee meeting and I walked up and said good morning and not a single employee (out of approximately 6) responded. A couple just looked at me, and the others didn't even acknowledge my presence. As someone who was looking at buying plants for the first time ever, I thought it would be a better idea for me to go to a place like this vs a Home Depot or Lowe's, for the mere fact that I was hoping they'd be more personable, knowledgeable and helpful. They may be knowledgeable but I'll never know

I love this place!!! All of their plants are very healthy !!! Love the black petunias that I found there this year!!!! I have bought several petunias here that have come back year after year even though I never bring them indoors as they suggest. I don't even bother to protect them during a frost.

Great service! The plants are beautiful but the personal attention the ladies provide separate Hazelwoods from their competition. They know what they sell!

Even though I no longer live in Pell City, I still go to Hazelwoods for my plants! Absolutely love this place! The employees are so nice and knowledgable, selection is awesome and prices can't be beat!

My wife, Nola, thinks this is just about the best Nursery around. She always orders her annual plants there. The girls all treat you like family. Also if you have a plant questions Mr. Hazlewood has the answer.

I love getting my plants here. The plants are always beautiful and healthy. The staff are so sweet and if you have a question and they don't have the answer they will find out and get back with you.
