In 1946 the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel based in Knox, Indiana was born out of the vision of Ray Braman. For twenty four years Ray faithfully served our community offering funeral services that were characterized by attention to compassion, integrity, and value. After being involved in the family business for several years, Ray's son Roger Braman formally became the owner of Braman & Son in 1970.
At Braman & Bailey we provide traditional Funeral Services both "in-house" at our locations and off-site at the church or synagogue of your choice. What ever you choose in regard to funeral service arrangements, our goal is to handle every detail and assure you of a dignified and orderly experience.
Pre-Need Funeral Planning or pre-arrangement is a thoughtful method of funeral planning. Some people do this with the sincere desire to avoid being a burden on their families. Others like the idea of "having taken care of everything", yet others may have no one else who can make these arrangements for them.
By providing surviving family and friends with an atmosphere of care and support in which to share thoughts and feelings about death, funerals are the first step in the healing process. It is the traditional way to recognize the finality of death. Funerals are recognized rituals for the living to show their respect for the dead and to help survivors begin the grieving process.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
