Services
The original store was located at 54 North Howell Street. Pearson owned and operated the meat department and Elmer Cain, the grocery department. In 1947, Phillip Williams started working in the meat department. The grocery department was purchased from Mr. Cain in 1951 and a partnership was formed when Lawrence Jacobus joined the company in 1955.

We also have party trays for your special event, and we even offer delivery and chafing pan rentals for minimal fees.

If you like hours old and cold hash browns and pancakes look no farther than Sharon’s in the market house. Food is left to sit until someone orders it!, ungloved hands prep your food! Have an allergy? Well too bad cause we cut everything up on the same chopping board without switching every time like we’re supposed too! We don’t like to throw anything out so we will use rotten produce and pick out the good parts and serve it to you with a smile on our face. Like half cooked bacon that sits in a pile exposed until it’s ordered? Well got that that too! Want a place to sit? Well too bad cause

I've known Market house ever since I was a little boy and they have expanded a lot since I last visited. Not only do they have their own Bakery and couple restaurants inside of the building they also have an Anytime Fitness there and a Biggby Coffee! Hillsdale Market house is definitely a place to go if you want to get that only groceries but a quick bite to eat oh, and if you feel like it workout as well!

I love this Place. My Relatives & I came here on Our Trip to see a very Sick Relative for the day. And we stopped here to.buy some thing sdcc. This is one great & nice Mom & Pop Store. The Atmosphere even feels " Like Family " . We recieved excellent Customer Service here too. The Store is super clean too. I highly Reccommend this Place to Anyone & Everyone. If I Iever get to come back to Hillsdale, Michigan " I will definitely stop here again & buy & Support this Mom & Pop Place. Dani & Kylie are excellent Employees too. We recieved Excellent Customer Service here too , with them.
