Services
The Community Health Center Association of Mississippi (formerly the Mississippi Primary Health Care Association) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership organization comprised of 21 Community Health Centers providing quality comprehensive healthcare in accredited medical homes. Our health centers provide care to over 280,000 patients within 187 sites throughout Mississippi's underserved communities.
Community Health Centers have been an integral part of Mississippi for over 50 years. As the place where the health center movement began, our health centers have been devoted to improving access and providing Mississippians with quality care. The need is great, and health centers have responded by expanding their presence in over 70 of the Magnolia State's 82 counties.
TangoRx is a mission-centric organization, focused exclusively on serving organizations that provide care to vulnerable patient populations. We improve access, help navigate complexities of 340B, maximize resources, and ensure regulatory compliance. Our culture, our people, and our values are aligned with safety net providers and the 340B program's mission to help the under-served.
The Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) is an approach for providing comprehensive, coordinated primary care to adults, youth, and children. It facilitates partnerships between individual patients and their personal physicians, and when appropriate, the patient's family. Three national organizations stand out among the multitude of PCMH-recognizing and accrediting programs.
This project is a partnership between the CHCAMS and the MS State Department of Health Office of Tobacco Control (OTC). Program funding and support is provided by OTC. The OTC mission is to promote and protect the health of all Mississippians by reducing tobacco-related disease and death. The Purpose of the Tobacco-Free Mississippi project is to strengthen statewide capacity to conduct clinical tobacco cessation programs and activities.
