I have built my practice on a combination of rigorous training, broad experience in the practical arts and crafts of construction, and careful attention to both the concrete goals and the creative dreams of my clients. My childhood love of drawing and building grew into a degree in history and architecture at Washington University in St. Louis, and then to a Master's degree in Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence.
I believe that true success in any design process depends on the quality of the collaboration between an architect, a client, and whenever possible, the builder. I am committed to listening, and to applying my diverse training and experience to translating my client's wishes and dreams into attractive, comfortable, and energy efficient places for living.

It was a joy to work with Adam and A. Ginsburg Architects for our renovation and addition. From the beginning, Adam makes you feel comfortable with his process. His patience and communication add to the overall experience and puts you at ease that you are working with someone who knows their craft. We were dealing with a firm budget and Adam's knowledge, along with our builder, helped us reel in some of our "wants" but still come up with a design that encompassed all of our "needs". We recently worked with Adam to draw plans for a kitchen renovation in our home. I looked to Adam Ginsburg to quickly develop a set of plans for a 3200 square foot rebuild of a historic property that had significant fire damage. This project was unexpected and needed to move forward quickly allowing the contractors to catch a short VT building season. Adam connected right away. He worked from pictures and memories all the while, bringing an original 18th century design into the 21st.

Adam took our dream and made it a reality. We wanted to build a new house with four bedrooms on a tight budget. Fitting an architect within the budget seemed impossible, but we wanted to get it right. In the end, hiring Adam saved us money and gave us a design I could not have dreamed of. Adam and Pat of A.Ginsburg Architects helped me plan the renovation of a 100-plus year old commercial building into my new woodworking shop. They were prompt, responsive, and had great ideas.
