Birmingham Direct Primary Care does not provide or dispense controlled chronic pain medications or controlled anxiety medications (benzodiazepines).
Birmingham Direct Primary Care is a family medicine clinic that uses the direct primary care model, which puts patients first by removing insurance between the primary care physician and the patient. This membership based medicine model allows our clinic to provide better, personalized care for the patient by allowing the physician to focus on the patient and not on charts or insurance codes.

Because I don’t have traditional insurance, Dr Efe was the perfect solution for me. I love the way he models his practice. Whenever I have needed to see him, I don’t have to wait in a waiting room, I make my appointment and he meets me at the front door. I also feel like he genuinely listens to my concerns and walks alongside how I want to do handle my health. He is accessible when I need him and goes beyond the norm of Dr/Patient relationship. I've had a fantastic experience with Dr. Efe at Birmingham Direct Primary Care. In our initial meeting (which was almost 2 hours long), he really took the time to get to know me, and understand all my "issues." He's helped tremendously with achieving some health goals, and the (thankfully) few times I've emailed him with emergent issues, he's replied promptly, addressing the issues, and given suggestions (both lifestyle changes and medical interventions) that have solved the problems. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Dr. Efe at Birmingham Direct Primary Care. You get first class service! Dr. Efe has excellent bedside manner and will work with you until your medical issues are resolved. Being able to go to the doctor, know your getting the right treatment and you are able to get your prescriptions filled right there in his office takes all the stress off of you while you are sick or no matter what the issue may be! His practice is an A+ in my book!

Having been treated by Dr. Efe for some time, I am amazed at the difference in my health that he has made. I find that the office is clean, well-lit, COVID safe and appointments staggered to avoid the need for undue contact with others every time I visit.
