The part of the outer ear that we see is called the pinna, or auricle. The pinna, with its grooves and ridges, provides a natural volume boost for sounds in the 2000 to 3000 Hz frequency range, where we perceive many consonant sounds of speech. The ear canal, also called the external auditory meatus, is the other important outer ear landmark.
It's the sensation that you or the environment you are in is spinning or moving. It is different from dizziness in that it is an illusion of movement. Vertigo can affect anyone but it becomes more prevalent as we age. The reason is that younger people can compensate for the dizziness by changing their activities or working through the dizziness.
The Hearing Specialists at Broward Sinus Doctors offer complete and comprehensive audiologic evaluations in a calibrated sound proof booth. The hearing evaluation, in combination with other audiologic subtests, provides evidence regarding how the outer, middle and inner ear functions. The results of the audiologic evaluation will determine the type and degree of hearing loss.
Hearing aids are often the most practical route to correct hearing loss. Thankfully, hearing aids have come a long way with many technological advances in the past few years. They are more cosmetically appealing, more durable, and have better sound quality. Digital technology is more advanced resulting in better hearing, sound quality, and patient satisfaction.

Terrible scheduling my husband had an appointment set on 6/19/20 at 11:30 am wasn’t seen until 12:45pm. We waited because he was in pain but very dissatisfied with office behavior. They stated that the doctor had a procedure but careless about the delay. We will be looking for another specialist!
