Peterson fire glass is tempered manufactured in various shapes and sizes and is used as a medium to retain and direct heat, usually in natural gas fireplaces and natural gas or propane fire pits. Fire glass does not burn, but retains heat and refracts light as a result of burning gas. Fire glass (like artificial logs and stones) is additionally used to obscure the gas plumbing inherent in gas fireplaces.

I've been trying to get service on a fireplace insert I bought from them in 2011. Staff is rude and uncooperative. Prices are high, and wait times - just to get a return call, much less actual parts & labor - is unreasonable.
When the blower stopped working, the lady in the service department refused to send anyone out to look at it since I mentioned I also needed firebrick and she wasn't going to send anyone out with the firebrick in a second trip.
It took multiple weeks to get to the point of them placing an order for parts. And guess what - since they won't come out to look

Clay and his whole team were awesome from beginning stages to final product. They were not only professional but helpful and suggested some truly great ideas. He helped us design a beautiful outdoor kitchen to fit a pavilion, and his crew had expert ideas and help along the way. They even suggested a special custom built door for an area we were having trouble with, and it fits right in. The grill, refrigerator, drawers, and design are absolutely beautiful. Can't imagine anything better for our pool, hot tub, and patio area. We basically live outside now! They are the best!
