Headaches are one of the most common disorders that people suffer with. Chances are, you or someone you love has been suffering with some type of headache. Tension headaches are typically characterized by mild to moderate pain in the upper neck, base of the skull, and around the temples. Migraine headaches can be disabling for some people and tend to be much more severe than tension headaches.
Neck pain is a problem for most people at one time or another. Sometimes it is the result of a trauma causing a sprain or strain injury or from a car accident (whiplash) or sports injury. Other times it can be the result of poor posture or sleeping habits that create stress on the muscles, ligaments, and tendons in the cervical spine.
Back pain is a common problem that affects millions of people. It can be the result of a traumatic injury, bad habits such as prolonged sitting, or from poor posture that has allowed a weakening of the structures in charge of protecting and stabilizing the lower back. In many situations, back pain can be the result of a herniated or bulging disc, which can lead to other associated symptoms besides the back pain.
Automobile collisions often do serious damage to the muscles, ligaments, and tendons of the body, especially the ones around the spine. If left untreated, these injuries can lead to chronic long term pain and dysfunction of the involved joints. Typically, the sooner you are able to start your treatment the better your long term outcome will be as you allow the body to properly heal.
