Services
Specs Howard School of Media Arts offers three distinct programs of study to prepare students for a broad spectrum of careers within the media industry. Want to know which of our programs best matches your career goals? Use our Program Pathfinder tool to match your interests and personality to the right Specs Howard program and career path for you.
The best way to begin to understand the Specs Howard hands-on approach to education is to arrange a tour of the school. See our classrooms, production facilities, television and radio studios, editing labs and equipment; visit the Learning Resource Center and Writing Lab; and meet with an Admissions Advisor to discuss your future at Specs.
The school may require a limited number of additional supplies for its programs. Should additional equipment, books or materials be required for any given program, a list will be provided at the time of enrollment, and the student will have the opportunity to purchase some of those items at the front desk, or they may purchase the items at any other outlet of their choosing.
Call us at 1 800 CALL LTU (1-800-225-5588) to learn more. One of our Admissions Advisors will follow up with you to set up an admissions appointment and a tour of the school. Applying online does not bypass any of the following steps. The admissions appointment allows you to inquire about our programs, employment opportunities, program schedules, calendars, policies, registration processes and Career Services procedures.
The goal of the Financial Aid Department at the Specs Howard School is to assist eligible students in applying for and receiving financial assistance. All financial aid paperwork must be submitted to the Financial Aid Department prior to orientation (unless an extension is granted by the Financial Aid Department) or the student may be placed on a cash payment plan.

They lied about they're programs. I went there for a marketing program/social media program, only to start and be told its a film program and they dont have anything close to what I want.
Compared to other schools, Ive been to the digtal media program was awful. All the stuff they take a whole year to cover, I learned at Grand Valley in the 1st week alone. They give you 4 and a half hour long class to edit a 3min video which only takes 20mins to edit. Then give you 3 more class days to finish. So your doing nothing more than half the time.
The grading for projects is way too soft. They don't
